QUOTE(ptit @ Apr 19 2012, 01:36 PM) Even if I stay in JB...but my pay / work in SGD is in SG entity.... How about KWSP? You only pay Malaysian tax when you derive income from Malaysia, i.e. a Malaysian company pays you. KWSP is based on a % of your Malaysian income, so I doubt that you need to pay KWSP as well since your Malaysian income is RM 0.

Is there anyone here working in the Big 4 in Singapore?
My friend working there recently told me that they expect you to work until 11pm everyday and to meet very stringent targets on work utilisation rates (70% of your total time working in a year must be charged to a client) and recovery rates for projects (min 70%) or else you'll get a warning letter. We're both working in Tax, except he's in Singapore and I'm in Malaysia. So far in my office, we get to go back at any time as long as our work is done by the deadline. And when we have low recovery rates for a project, we generally have a good reason as to why (eg. client gave crap information, there was more problems with the project than expected, etc). I feel that issuing a warning letter for things that might be out of your control rather drastic.
Anyone can confirm this work practice in the Big4 there? Is it a normal work practice in Singapore?
