From experience, 7 to 9 am/pm is the worst time to cross the causeway for weekdays. Try to avoid this timing. I've been driving in/out for a few years.

hmmm...so u need to cross the causeway before 7am!? mean to say leave house around 6am lor? and then go back house reach 9-10pm!? fuh... dam lifeless then? >_<"

and then stayin in Johor is dangerous? lolx..my fren telling me crime rate is pretty high there... sad.gif

That's is the sacrifice you have to make. Else, if the same, everyone would have move to JB by now. Typically crime rate is much higher in JB than Singapore. That's a fact. It's pretty hard to define 'dangerous' but if you ask me, i think it's a 'cowboy' town  tongue.gif  .

haiz... i m so fuss now....hard to decide...shud i take up the offer??? but waking up early in the morning..n going home late...sounds so tough...mayb first few months is ok...but how long can i last?...>_<"

Never heard of 30days/year rule for foreign vehicle just that you have to ensure "the vehicle is kept or used outside Singapore for a total period of 6 hours or more everyday"

you have to check the cam during peak hour. now midnight of coz ok  biggrin.gif
you could also consider using 2nd link which cause more for the toll.

the vehicle is kept or used outside Singapore for a total period of 6 hours or more everyday <-- I dont realli understand, means i can drive my car in SG n juz park there for as long as i want?

and...2nd Link highway usually wont jam even in the morning?

not to discourage. don't come if can't make certain sacrifice, there are always pros & cons, simple as that. depends on individual lifestyle.

2nd link by 6.45am u shall reach JB custom. not sure why since last few weeks ago more & more cars, maybe some coming from causeway.
*
that is why i wanted to know to what extend of sacrifices i had to make before i commit, to be frank i'd rather to be staying in SG, dat's y i wanted to know if its possible to use my Msia registered car in SG without going out from SG everyday?

the ruling for you to drive a foreign registered vehicle is that you residential address must be of singapore ie Malaysia/JB. Your after office hours parking  in HDB areas will be quite expensive, you should still decide to drive & park your vehicle in singapore
*
residential address as in house I'm renting? or i need to be a PR?

btw how much it cost for parking in HDB areas? for monthly?
