hi guys,

want to ask for your advice. i got a job offer in sg. The post is System Analyst. heres the package:

salary: $3800
bonus: at least 3.5month anually
annual leave: 24 days
Medical: $350
Dental: $200

My current salary in KL is RM6200 including allowance.
3.5 years experience in system development and 2.5 years in application support.

Do u guys think its worth it. im holding the offer letter now thinking whether i should sign....

seems low to me too ;( tried to ask the agent to nego a lil more for me, but she said the company wont go any higher...
ya the 3.5 bonus is in the offer letter.

im coming alone. but ive a lot of friends in Sg. even my bestfriends are there. ill rent. my current expense is about RM4K per month..

is it really not worth it? i was thinking i can save more with this new job but feels like im downgrading a lot where i may not have to..

is this really applicable? i hear most people don't get this kind of offer anymore?

ive a house loan im paying at rm800 a month here in KL..

actually i've been looking for a job that fits me in Sg for almost 2 years now. and this is the best offer I've seen so far. before i get the offer, I have told myself 'if i'll be offered minimum 3.8K, i'll be satisfied...'
isnt the bonus good and makes up for the low salary?

whats your point actually? are u suggesting or not suggesting? your statements are kind of contradicting each other.

thank u for the constructive advice. lifestyle wise i think i won't have a problem. i've been there many times and i actually want to come so badly because my fiance is there and also the better opportunity.

give up on detach house stay in small room with crazy landlord
this one no problem coz ill stay with PR friend and rent whole house

give up driving, taking bus with china lady screaming on the phone
this one is ok too coz i lived in japan for few years and got used to public transporting

give up mamak, eating mee with vinegar inside
this one maybe will

i think ill miss driving most of all.

u in IT as well? maybe u can shed some more light? it seems the support jobs pay more there?

5 6 ++.. that was my initial expected salary back when i first started looking for job there. after tonnes of let down and few headhunters telling me "Impossible" i had to lower it down by so much..

crazykid ill ask the employer if theres any more vacancy left

recently there was an ad for Citrix Engineer in Sony Sg offering $8000. why dont u try.

my basic in kl is RM4800.
anyway i think ill take up the offer. will sign the letter and fax to them. most important now is for me to be near my fiance. maybe once i'm there i can think about better opportunity. since it took me 2 years to get this, who knows how much longer i have to wait if i pass this up. maybe it'll be better once i'm there.

hi guys. ive to undergo a medical check up in singapore soon. i am still working in Kl.. i understand that after the medical checkup we need to submit the report to EPSC. can all this be done in one day? can the medical result be ready in one day?

hiv test only $120? walao with xray then should be around $200? gosh!
rm500 for medical check up. faint ;(
