Have u tried all job sites in sg? Have u engage agents in sg? Are jb-lang? Closed all ur doors in msia?
*
I searched over the job searching web site and most of them required experience (may be i just not dig deep enough). And I asked friends seniors do Malaysian got a chance in investment field in SG, most of them told me chances are not high as im malaysia and graduated from local university.
Im very interested on job relating to equity market, debt or money market.
And also wondering if I apply through those job searching web site will part of my salary go to them (if i secure a job in SG)

Highly appreciate any help as Im out of sources to know more bout jobs in SG.

it's hard enough for soemone to get an investment-related role in a local investment bank as a freshie, what more in singapore under these kind of economic environment.

SO unless, your results are superb and I do mean superb, or you have connections in the IB, it's quite hard for you to get a investment related role in Singapore. Maybe, you can get some back-office job in an IB in singapore, but front-office role like investment banking dept, or treasury, it will be might difficult

oh i see.... 4.0 in UUM not really a big deal anyway. Then if work in msia for example OSK or as any front desk trader then only go singapore, is that a good decision to make?

fresh grad should keep options open... ur looking for a job mode, shouldn't limit just sg... msia? u need to consider what is the right package to meet ur needs, plus i assume u are not attached so the decision to move or relocate can be done easily. Just hantam la.... all is fair game.
*
yalo yalo, not attached XD erm... will look for msia also, but really wish to go somewhere far away and see since still young ma. Think of SG can give me a better salary also, haha.
Do you recommend to stay in SG to look for a job or just send my CV will do?

Don't take it too hard... just that much u need for makan minum, plus some emergency buffer (sgd200) ...
it's risky.. coming for 2-3 months look for job coz no guarantee, if ur friend allow u to stay 2-3months in their places.
SG got strict in house rules for tenants ..sad.gif
*
ya lo heard that some tenants not allow outsider sad.gif and even a company call for interview it is also expensive and risky for me to travel from north to south and no guarantee for the job. Working in SG at least don't need to buy car that early. Fresh graduate pay very low in msia ler... left nothing if still want to pay car loan somemore sad.gif

yes just hantam! you shouldnt be choosy. find the right job that suits you regardless of location. just get your resume ready and send! you have nothing to lose.

investment banking? you need to make more research whether is it better for you to start in Msia or SG. but be warned that the competition for entry level position investment bankers are very very intensive. even the brightest grads from NUS find it hard to set their foot in IB because some banks only consider ivy league grads. you'll be surprised how many ivy league grads apply to those banks in SG.

good luck!

NUS =.='' seems like i need ALOT of luck if i want to get my self in IB : ( anyway thank you so much man! you all did help me a lot in this : ) Appreciate that. rclxms.gif
