my friend left sg for good, got RM8k/month. In sg, he is P1 qualified with S$8k/month. He said 8k in sg is nothing, room rent already 2.5k, 2k for others. left 3.5k but cannot live like a KING.

Spend only 1K in Malaysia but lives like a KING? Suka suka maids already 1K, no?

Even assuming the expenses are correct, he actually has more than 3.5K left in SG because he has this big landed house in MY which he can rent out and offset against his rental in SG.

Also, if include taxation - the impact in MY will be much greater than SG.

Indon maid is only RM300 ma??don't know why he thought like that. it's no brainer I will choose singapore if like that..
Sometimes, I looked here also no brainer, someone here prefer RM6k than S$5k..

Salary alone is more than that. Plus all the agents fees, govt fees, insurance, checkup, install surveillance camera, buy safe to keep valuables etc... much more. Then the maid also need to makan, minum, mandi, main, tidur, tidur+main... all who pay?

Getting a maid just cost my brother RM130,000++. Had to buy a MPV because the sedan cannot fit 5 family member + 1 (sizable) maid.

haha..maid no need to eat la..she will come at 8 then go home at 11..also can drive children to school with bicycle. His wife is housewife..no need surveillance. Now Indon maids are clever, they rather to have 4 jobs a day so they can earn 1.2k/month.

btw, I just ask opinion. from myself it's no brainer la, i will choose sg over my.

Btw, have a gf studying medicine in unrecognize university by the Singapore Medical Council, do you think she be able to work in Sg? In 2 yrs she will finish her medicine degree. I hope I can settle with her in Sg and she can work at sg too. No point to continue the r/s if we each other at our ego and kill our careers.

Holds at least a relevant Bachelor degree awarded by a university recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (please refer to the List of Registrable Basic Medical Qualifications and the List of Registrable Postgraduate Medical Qualifications {this is in the process of being updated}, which are recognised by the Medical Council currently)

MY lousy contractor keep thinking I owed him big time for diging my back yard at my expense, should I send him back by MAS?.... fly kite him.

If there are other affortable alternatives such as MRT, ferry and pedestrian link along current causeway then I don't mind a hike in private car toll fee to increase public transport usage, I get faster clearance time for a fee but definately not in this robbery manner.

Can ask the JB police to rest for good, what's the point to catch small thieve in dark alley while allowing big robber operating 24/7 in front of Johor Istana... Oh.. the crime rate does not include bluntant corruption/robbery... ah I'm sooo forgetful near GE.

I think if to buy a house and live the rest of my life there in SG is pretty difficult if salary were not higher than Sg$8k a month.

If you have family and you not working then even 8k/mth not enough, believe me

It has been 10yrs now for me at work in SG.

i felt d same feeling living in SG aft 4yrs too vmad.gif . me, instead go back kl shakehead.gif , i opt to re-locate to jb and cummute daily.
aft a year renting a room, then moved in own home as single, then bring in a partner to share, then & then till got no time to get bored...

I opine, one will feel less bored if you change your living enviroment from time to time, specially after you owned a home, your mind & time will get very occupied besides work sweat.gif .

If owned a home, how to relocate? I think better marry someone to make ur day so colorful
