QUOTE(ad3rb33n @ Feb 17 2012, 09:48 PM) ya that is resident tax rite? but i stayed less than 183 days for last year... so categorized under non-resident which is entitled to be taxed 15% or progressive tax structure(for resident tax) whichever higher? that what the iras website said... that y i confused If you have stayed for <=183 days last year, yes, you are regarded as a non-resident to be taxed at 15%. But you can request IRAS to reassess your profile from non-resident to resident by providing your current employment details. After IRAS reassessed, they will credit the amount that you have paid into your bank via GIRO. More info here.

QUOTE(Debuantu @ Feb 25 2012, 12:30 AM) Hi all, I have a question. If I change job (same position), do I have to re-apply for a pass or just inform MoM to update my employer details? Your new employer should apply a new work pass for you. Do note that each work pass is tied to the respective employer.
