If you look around, you might even get a room (small) all for yourself for around 550SGD ++ (no aircon, far from MRT etc.) Living with 2K is achievable but you won't have much savings (except if you save like crazy~ eat roti everyday ) . I concur with Mackiddo, depends on what you want in the short / long term.

I would say you could live quite comfortable with 1.5K++ (rent, food, transport, some minor bills) but this again depends on your lifestyle, etc.

Different people with different backgrounds, working in different roles in different industries will be competing with different "levels" of competitors who subject them to vastly different "markets" and therefore different "market rates" will apply.

If thats the case,  there should be many lonely single out there waiting for you right?
