Brand name should be the last consideration to buy a guitar. So many factors goes into the sound you want like tone wood, pick ups and pedals/amp. Not to mention the tweaks you can make in between.

How about for starters, test both, and compare which one suits you. find that guitar you are satisfied with and work on from there.
