Who else faces problems with their rear brakes giving out "tak tak tak" sound when slow braking or braking near to stop? Please share what have done with it, or how/which SC try to rectify it?

nothing done  whistling.gif haha.. 1st appeared when really hard braking just to test. kaw2 bunyi. then later after long distance drive, slow braking.. seems ok. there's still 'tak tak tak' sound for heavy braking but i jz don't want to spend time got to sc to rectify the problem, coz from this forumer experience, the problem can't easily be settled by sc
*
Oh. That is why after my first session at Proton Edar SC Malacca. The sound became louder than before I sent for rectification. So actually I wonder what did they rectify which took 4 hours on my Saturday and still nothing achieved!

So I called Proton I care and made a request to change the brakes altogether. I refuse to go for another recitification session as they cannot actually rectify it. So the customer care actually called Proton Edar SC Malacca, as they called me later in the afternoon to send my Saga for them to check.

My question to them is will they straight away change for me or just "rectify" again. I haven't gone there but I will surely demand for them to change instead of just "rectifying" nothing.

dem...the sound suddenly come again this evening..although not too loud like before..  vmad.gif

Then it is confirmed, they (Proton Edar SC) just merely "rectified" it for nothing. Go back, make noise or do like I did, call Proton ICare and make some noise! Make a lot of noise! Demand for a change instead of just "rectifying" nothing and wasting your time! Did they charge you for the brake fluid?! Very dissappointed!

nex week going back again, tho doubt they will ever solve it
*
I am giving them till next Wednesday 9-2-2012 to give me a reply and a confirmation to change the brakes instead of just rectifying nothing..... My next step will be to submit a complaint to http://www.nccc.org.my/v2/

I think you should too, since they successfully wasted so much of your time and money....

hi, i just went to COSE yesterday and complaint about the same thing. They changed both my rear wheel bearing and drum brakes to new sets. arrived at 8 am, finish at 4 pm  yawn.gif , nearly die waiting. the service advisor told me, the vendor who actually did the replacement and test it.  blink.gif
*
Oh, does it mean, I have to go down to COSE to make sure I get it changed instead of going to all those other SCs? I from Malacca have to waste 1 whole day to go there? But if they surely change, I don't mind......

Did you have to make an appointment and tell them your actual problem as well?

Which service center have solve tak tak tak sound  when brek problem?

It seems they need the vendor to come and replace the blooming brakes. If the SC mechanics "rectify" than you have just wasted your time. The sound will come back with a vengence!

This is just for a general idea how serious and widespread the problem is.

By the way, just now I went Waja TT USJ there was raining heavily. After driving thru some flooded roads, the drumbrake sound became much louder. After the TT on my way home (dry roads, no rain) it became lighter and lighter, but still there.

The problem lies with the Vendor and the "tidak apa" attitude of the SCs. There must be a lot of noise made, a lot of our time wasted, then only they (SCs) are willing to call the Vendor to come and replace the brakes!

Come on! If the fault lies with the Vendor, then why are the SCs "protecting" them? If I am the SC, just call the Vendor down and change it only, it is the Vendor's fault, right?
