I am considering the FLX SE (among others), currently driving Atoz 1.1L Auto.
Any current owners able to provide some opinions on this? ^^

QUOTE(dares @ Feb 7 2012, 03:53 PM) What are the other cars you are considering? The FLX SE is a good car for it's price, but there are some shortcomings inherent to the Saga line eg. Poor NVH and less than great build. The SE variant has a stiffer ride than the FLX, which could be good or bad depending on how you drive. That said, the 1.6l powerplant and CVT combo never fails to put a smile on my face when I press the throttle, which is saying a lot considering it's price tag. Considering a few cars, among which is the Myvis (1.5L) and Peugeot 207 (I heard there will be a newer version of this). Mainly going to be using it for city driving, with the occasional trips to other states for R&R and meeting up with friends. So just asking around for opinions first, my personal exp with Protons (as a passenger) is okay but maybe I need to test drive one when I have the chance.

QUOTE(xshiro @ Feb 7 2012, 05:24 PM) myvi 1.5 is ok...but hefty pricetag for a fullspec, smaller boot space.. 207 is 10 years old tech...and being a french car, spareparts/service might be problem in the future... Thanks for the feedback! I think I miss that out in the consideration >< Added on February 8, 2012, 9:50 amQUOTE(ericmaxman @ Feb 7 2012, 05:35 PM) FLX SE now 1.6L More boot space, more comfortable (stable) when travelling on highway, better handling. Thanks for the info too... most of the reviews I saw are based on the original Saga BLM... I am not too impressed by it but I did hitch a ride on it once to Malacca! Not too bad in the end. QUOTE(dares @ Feb 7 2012, 06:07 PM) To be honest, my experience with driving on PLUS highway has not been a comfortable one . The ride is pretty high so it is more susceptible to cross wind or wake from large vehicles, but thanks to the stiffer springs and thicker antiroll bar it is more stable than a Myvi in similiar situations. On the other hand, driving on urban expressways eg. Federal highway and Kesas is much more comfortable. I agree Persona and above is better for highway, else go for FLX 1.3 if you want comfort. If your car usage consists mostly of urban driving, well Myvi works as well. Ah okay, thank you! Now that I think about it, I did try out the Myvi for a day but didn't go on any of the highways yet...
