Members with drumbrake noise problems.
This is just for a general idea how serious and widespread the problem is.

List:
1) Jflcorp FLX 1.3 Manual
2) dares FLX SE 1.6 CVT
3)
4)

By the way, just now I went Waja TT USJ there was raining heavily. After driving thru some flooded roads, the drumbrake sound became much louder. After the TT on my way home (dry roads, no rain) it became lighter and lighter, but still there.

The problem lies with the Vendor and the "tidak apa" attitude of the SCs. There must be a lot of noise made, a lot of our time wasted, then only they (SCs) are willing to call the Vendor to come and replace the brakes!

Come on! If the fault lies with the Vendor, then why are the SCs "protecting" them? If I am the SC, just call the Vendor down and change it only, it is the Vendor's fault, right?
*
Not protecting them, more like following procedure - try to fix first, then only replace. I'm not even sure outside Proton-authorized SCs can get the vendor to replace it, or need to go to PESC or COSE then only they will entertain your request to replace.

If we get a long enough list, maybe we can submit to Proton first. Going to COSE together is not really practical because I don't think they can do our cars all at once. Or maybe they can set aside a few days to do our cars, like an event "Hari Menukar Brek Ahli-ahli LYN" thumbup.gif

"Tak tak tak", "Tok tok tok", "Bok bok bok" etc. etc. that follows your car's speed when the brake is pressed.

Hey guys, as I was removing the plastic from the back seat, I realised that the seat so easy to open up. Just pull the string and tada, the seat can be lifted up already-_-" Guess its just the bargain for the price of the car? Lol
*
You mean the back seat and the string at the bottom? It is designed to be easily removable.

Last time my Waja's back seat dunno remove how many times to fix the fuel pump.

I am considering the FLX SE (among others), currently driving Atoz 1.1L Auto.

Any current owners able to provide some opinions on this? ^^
*
What are the other cars you are considering?

The FLX SE is a good car for it's price, but there are some shortcomings inherent to the Saga line eg. Poor NVH and less than great build. The SE variant has a stiffer ride than the FLX, which could be good or bad depending on how you drive.

That said, the 1.6l powerplant and CVT combo never fails to put a smile on my face when I press the throttle, which is saying a lot considering it's price tag.

Considering a few cars, among which is the Myvis (1.5L) and Peugeot 207 (I heard there will be a newer version of this). Mainly going to be using it for city driving, with the occasional trips to other states for R&R and meeting up with friends.

So just asking around for opinions first, my personal exp with Protons (as a passenger) is okay but maybe I need to test drive one when I have the chance.
*
QUOTE(SiuYi @ Feb 7 2012, 04:53 PM)
hmmm...i sat in naza 206 for long distance. not bad, but it is not a relaxing drive as the ride is sporty. myvi long distance? no..........

if u want long distance drive i dun intro saga actually, i rather opt for persona or inspira. smile.gif
*
To be honest, my experience with driving on PLUS highway has not been a comfortable one blush.gif . The ride is pretty high so it is more susceptible to cross wind or wake from large vehicles, but thanks to the stiffer springs and thicker antiroll bar it is more stable than a Myvi in similiar situations. On the other hand, driving on urban expressways eg. Federal highway and Kesas is much more comfortable.

I agree Persona and above is better for highway, else go for FLX 1.3 if you want comfort. If your car usage consists mostly of urban driving, well Myvi works as well.

I just got off the phone with PESC Desa Tun Razak, appointment 10am tomorrow to replace the brakes. They bunyi macam tak mau layan, called before also never follow up, expect me to call again and again.

This is seriously the last time I'm gonna visit them, I'd rather drive all the way to COSE if that means more professional staff and more competent mechanics.
