Anybody here tried Leedroid 7.1.0 with SebastianFM kernel 1.4.1? Someone reported a very low battery drain with that kernel. Currently I'm using Bricked v0.851 but it seems like the battery drain is roughly around the range of 55-70mAh during phone idle/sleep. Currently on UV -50, 1512Mhz, ondemand, maxoffscr 486k, nogpuoc.

QUOTE(teh_master @ Apr 18 2012, 09:01 PM) Good to see the thread is back alive! seems like people are trying ordroid sense 4.0, any fans of aosp? i need some feedback on CM9 - open sensation, aokp and also virtuous inquisition. any of them are stable enough as daily driver? I'm currently on virtuous inquisition 4.0.1 with bricked v0.9 @1.4Ghz. So far so good, been pretty stable and fast since I'm using it as my business phone as well.

QUOTE(teh_master @ Apr 18 2012, 09:13 PM) thanks mate for your input. i am sticking to sense based rom cos of mail widget (syncing exchange mail) and of cos, i would love to try aosp rom(s). basis on your experience, is there any 3rd party widget / app for mail widget like sense? I'm not using the mail widget to sync exchange mails at the moment. In fact, virtuous inquisition is built from a sense-based rom but with most of the sense-stuffs stripped off except for the camera. They're able to repackaged in sense mail app but then some work need to be done due to dependencies with other packages. Perhaps you can try out a 3rd party mail app called K-9 Mail. I've not personally tried it but it has some pretty good reviews.

QUOTE(yott-chan @ Apr 18 2012, 10:04 PM) Hi guys, Just quick question.. A while back, I did S-OFF with the Revolutionary tool and root on my Sensation, but I didn't install any custom ROM. Can I use the normal software update to get latest update? As long as you didn't install any custom recovery, that is you still have the stock recovery intact, you should have no problems doing an OTA update.

QUOTE(teh_master @ Apr 18 2012, 10:44 PM) thanks for your recommendation for k-9 mail. will check on it for more information. btw, just placed order for an anker 1900mah battery. shall revert with review upon receiving it. Cool! Heard a lot of good points about Anker. You got it from a SG seller in this forum? Do provide us with a review after you've tested it out ya. Now my current goal is to further reduce as much battery drainage as possible. Thanks! Added on April 18, 2012, 11:05 pmQUOTE(syncguru @ Apr 18 2012, 10:55 PM) hmm seems like senior dev like mike and lee want to leave sensation. no more update in sensation forum but I saw they active in HOX forum. or may be they waiting for official Sense 4 leak I believe one of the reason is that they've already got their new toys to play with. Naturally they'll be spending more time on it. That's also one of the reason I'm trying out aosp and maybe cm9 soon. CM9 should be out pretty soon coz they've got new servers crunching out the builds. This post has been edited by wlteh: Apr 18 2012, 11:05 PM

QUOTE(teh_master @ Apr 22 2012, 10:42 PM) battery life is indeed is much improved with badass governor. i am suffering a bit of lag UI upon unlock (with stock setting for sense 3.6), but overcome it by opting for setting for sense 4.0. battery life is awesome! Agree! Battery life seems to be improved quite a lot. I used to get around 50-60mAh of drain while the phone is idle but now I'm surprised to see figures down to 6-10mAh when the phone is idling!

Added on April 23, 2012, 9:40 amQUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Apr 23 2012, 08:50 AM) each time restart hp.. it will wait 19/19 android update.. wat is that?? since we using ICS how come android pulak??? hey guys i just got another update after getting the ics update on 20/04/2012 and i think this will fix the issue in wifi and Bluetooth check keep posted (gsmarena) The xx/xx android update will happen everytime there's a dalvik cache wipe process involved and most of the time during updates, the dalvik cache gets wiped. Not to worry as this happens only once after an update. Android is the OS platform for our phones and ICS is just a version codename which is version 4 of Android. QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Apr 23 2012, 10:37 AM) ya i disable fastboot so if i tick it then the update won't appear again? the new update setting is for fixed the bluetooth & wifi? did u face the hp hang during u cancel the call?? Oh so even if you've disabled fastboot (means it's unticked) you're still getting this? According to some people, they're facing this problem too and some of them said it's normal for the OTA. I'm using custom ROM and therefore unable to comment much ya, so sorry for that.

QUOTE(akmal89 @ Apr 24 2012, 12:11 PM) Done that also but installed the one from the support website or is there other usb driver? Once your phone is connected to the USB port of your PC, check the Device Manager in your Windows and see if there's an Android Device listed there. You should have an entry "My HTC" listed there.

QUOTE(akmal89 @ Apr 24 2012, 12:38 PM) There is one but it shows yellow triangle exclamation mark.. but when I tried to update it, it says that its already up-to-date I don't know what else to do~ Right click on that device with the exclamation mark, then select "Update Driver Software...", then select "Search automatically for...." If you've installed the HTC USB drivers, it should update it to My HTC.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 27 2012, 09:15 AM) Hi, I have this Sensation XE (the 1 with red mesh?) that I wanted to flash with ICS. Already flashed to HyperSensation, but there are some bugs lurking around, worst off was the wifi unusable. Any stable/good ICS rom to recommend? Perhaps you wanna try out HyperNonSense first, which is from the same dev as the HyperSensation. This post has been edited by wlteh: Apr 27 2012, 09:35 AM

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 27 2012, 11:32 AM) Seems like wiping/factory reset after flashing this ROM would render it useless. Using 4EXT Recovery though, not sure if it's the recovery's problem. You mean you have problems wiping the Hypersensation? To flash the HyperNonSense, follow the instructions given in the 1st post of the thread step by step ya.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 27 2012, 12:31 PM) Didn't flash any custom kernel. Just flash the ROM only and AddOn as provided on the thread. For my case, after I flashed the ROM, I flashed Bricked kernel on top of it and so far so good... not sure if you wanna try a custom kernel and see if that helps, if not then perhaps you need to look into the radio instead. Btw, I'm assuming that you S-OFFed your device using Revolutionary? This post has been edited by wlteh: Apr 27 2012, 12:40 PM

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 27 2012, 12:41 PM) If bootloader still showing S-ON, does it means it's not fully S-OFF? I even flashed to ARHD, same problem with wifi. So had to make it S-OFF completely? OK ... that prolly is the reason why your wifi is not working. If possible, do a complete S-OFF first.
