A good tint will certainly help. 

proton air con is the cold 1. So dont compare with proton. Is true!

normally i start engine & turn on ekon & open the both front windows half...
then i lepak hisap rokok with friends dulu... once finished, baru get-in...

Just wanted to ask, if lets say once I collect my car, is ok if I straight drive for a long distance like from batu pahat to Ipoh ? And what happen if I exceeded the 1k for the service like example exceeded till 1.5k or 1.6k, is that ok ??? Help !!!  

how about if i only 500km and found there is some problem with my car. for example alignment.
should i send to SC directly or wait 1000km service 1st?
if i go before 1000km, any charges?

Did the insulation at the pipes myself, normally i set at 23 to 24 deg c even during hot afternoon and it is cold enuf with 4 passengers inside. Checked the cabin temperature b4 and after, just 1 deg c lower.

No experience with raytech, my previous car use 3M (sorry can't remember the grade), is decent enough, and i got warranty for 7 years, after 7 years, it really started to peel off at the front windscree, other sides still OK.

I believe something is not right..it should not take that long (10-20 minutes) for the air blowed  from the aircond vents to be cold. Kindly make a complain to the SC. In less than half a minute, the air blowed from the aircond vents should feel cold already..but of course it needs several minutes to cool down the entire cabin. Anyway, a good tint surely helps to cool the cabin faster.

agreed! something is not right. I too am experiencing the same kinda problem. my car is less than 1 month old, but it was not like this before, so after asking around i have been told some forte's do have ac problems. the problem is due to the compressor. so i am planning to go ask my sc to change it for me already, i dont know about others but a/c is quite a big part of car's comfort to me. with a malfunctioning a/c i really get damn pissed at the car.

Did u install a good tint films at all windows & windshields? Usually when i drive alone on a hot day, i set the temp to 25-26 deg will do. If got passengers, i usually set the temp to 23-25 deg..24 deg is cool enough already. But of course, i've installed a good solar & security tint film which prevent most of the sun heat from penetrating into the cabin ..& i also did the aircond pipe insulation (DIY) that might also helps 

Yeap, it is tinted. as you said, 23 - 24 is sufficient.
I think there is some problem whtrader's AC.  Even my 12 years old iswara (AC, all original, no more tinted, peel off) does not take 20 minutes to cool.

Hi Bro, 23 to 24 deg?   How is that possible? Mine need to set 18? If not it will be hot even under normal weather.
By the way can share some pictures here of the installation.   

Will try to take some photo in the weekend, currently car is not with me......is very simple only, if not mistaken, you can find some info in internet.
i) u just need to find those insulation hose (those similar in your house air con),
ii)locate the cold part of the AC pipes (u can feel with your hand after u run your aircond). Warning, do not touch directly with your hand as there are a few pipes which are hot (also, do not insulate these pipes). Just feel by putting your hands near it, or if you have those temperature gun, it is helpful. Another helpful tip is, those cold pipes will have some water condensation on it.
iii)wrap it and tie with cable tie,etc...........

There are some insulation that comes with adhesive, but it can be very messy after that.

quite effective solution i think..but the evaporator might collects dust after some time, hence reduce cooling effect? need to go air cond service shop more frequent to clean up the evaporator fins....

Remove the filter will cause compressor more dusty and jam faster pr not?

other than going to A/C service shop (for those things cannot DIY), the cabin filter can be cleaned by our ownself on regular basis.
