I just did on wheel balancing today for my forte 1.6 EX (1 month old) , because I realize that the steering vibrates at 120km/hr.

Still vibrate a little though atm, gona send it back to them again.

Any of your steering wheels vibrate at high speed?

Secondly, I am thinking of fixing LED's for the front bumper of my car, that will mean tempering with the wiring of the car.

It's gonna void the warranty as well right? Is it worth it, in your opinions?

I received my 1.6sx yesterday. 

No rattling sound on doors, steering no vibrates if drive 100km/h above, alignment is okay. all and all, im very satisfied with my ride. that is just a thing that really bumps me, SA promised to give 5-inch GPS and its nowhere to be found. im just excited playing with the touch screen HU, and kinda forget about the free give promised earlier. haha.

Gonna continue driving the car some more today to detect if there's any abnormalities on it.

I have sound when turn on my acc, the sound start when moving, it get louder on the first to second gear and when iam hiking. Anyone experience the same? The sc said it normal, normal to have that sound when iam driving? Wtf? Ieven tsy my friemd forte and no sound like that

heard that forte is high in fuel consumption...and i mean...real high...

They did a roadshow at CiitaMall Kelana Jaya 2 weeks back for Hyundai Elantra... I stood there for 30 minutes staring at the car... After a while, I'm bored of the design n the looks already.

Walked back to my Forte, after driving it for over a year, I still enjoy looking at my car. The verdict? I'll still pick Forte if I need to make the decision again.     

Kindly refer to first post..got maintenance pricing there. For 40k service, it should be around RM600 only including labour & government tax. Items/parts changed during 40k service should be :

1. Fully synthetic engine oil (unless u opt for mineral oil)
2. Oil filter
3. Oil plug gasket
4. Air filter (engine)
5. Auto transmission fluid (ATF)
6. Brake fluid
7. Radiator Coolant

If they charged u RM800 for the 40k service, i suspect they add on another unnecessary replacement parts (for the 40k km service) such as :
1. Spark plugs
2. Air filter (cabin)

So during your 40k service, ask for the service sheet & please check the parts list before u agree & sign the service sheet. U have all your right to insist on just 7 parts above to be replaced as stated in the manual (for the 40k service)

Anyway, I've got to say that this is a great thread. I learnt a lot from here and read enough feedback from Forte owners to the point where it made me sure of purchasing this car. Pros? Aplenty. Cons? Maybe a tinge but which car doesn't have any?

Am going to sign the documents today and hopefully I can get the car within this week (1.6 SX with new HU). For future buyers, there is this SA from Sunway Mentari that gave me quite a good deal. Perhaps there are better deals offered by other SA's but I'm quite pleased with this chap. He is always on the ball and has excellent customer service. He gave me the following:

1. RM500 discount
2. Full bodykit
3. Boot tray
4. 'K' emblem (front & back, wheels)
5. Door visors
6. Leather key chain

I have a question that I hope you all won't mind helping me out with. I would like to tint my car and realized that in order for that to be done, the guys at the tint shop will have to detach my door panels. Now forgive me for being pedantic but I'm not very comfortable with that, especially if done by inexperienced/rough fellas leading to poor workmanship and ultimately ruining the rigidity of the panels (unnecessary vibration/loose/screws break etc). So, it would be great if you all could recommend a place in Klang Valley that does an excellent job?

is there really an improvement when using K&N air filter? Im curious, dont wanna spend RM200-ish worth of money if there's nothing to be improved for the car. Any feedback guys?

Need your advice and guidance.
Just got a Forte 1.6 SX White a few month back.

The issue :
Air cond slow to cold after parking under sun without shade for about 30mins to 45 mins. It would take about 10 - 20mins for the air from the air cond to be cold. The ambient temp showing is 34 - 38 degc.
By the time cold air comes out of the vent me and my passengers would be sweating.     

Inquiry :
How about other owners? Do you face the same problem or mine is an isolated issue?
Comparing to my other car Proton saga the air cond will be cold instantly.
Is there any solutions?

How it was solved?

After speaking to my trusty old air cond service friend he commend me to remove the cabin air filter and test.
Upon removing the air filter the problem seems to be solved. The air coming out of the vent is much cooler and stronger.
During hot day it cooled faster too. In a sense the air filter is limiting the air flow to the cabin hence delaying the cooling effect.
And by the way it was install upside down and choked with dust.  .

Also changing the aircond setting from 18 deg c to 22/24 deg c might have helped. Not sure about this. But will continue to monitor.
