Is yours the new specs with touchscreen headunit? If yes do post some pictures and reviews.  smile.gif
*
the SA offered this to me:
1) old version w/o HU with discount of 1500
2) new version with HU

after 1st round of bargain, i get 1000 discount on the new version (with HU) + RM200 tinting voucher but no other freebies even full tank, smarttag/tng.
im actually waiting for elantra spec to compare but most likely i will go for forte. if so, i will try to get leather seat + full set of K logo on top of that
can any1 advise me whether my request is too much?? biggrin.gif

Added on March 29, 2012, 2:54 pmi mean the HU with touchscreen
and the 1000 discount on 1.6sx
for 2.0, can get 2k discount

It's up to u my friend..if u have all the time in this world & have time luxuries to spend there at the SC..why not..hehe. Me..just sent & leave my car there at the SC & ask them to send me back to my office (Alor Setar SC offers this service thumbup.gif ). When they finished servicing my car, they will call & fetch me from my office to get my car. So work & service can be done in 1 shot  tongue.gif

But if u afraid that the service technician cheats on u (i.e putting mineral oil instead of fully syn oil), i suggest u better wait there & watch out..hehe. For me, i just hope that they service my car with honesty & trust..if they dare cheat on me, i will claim it back "di akhirat"

i will compare the elantra 1.6(A) normal spec with forte 1.6SX as benchmark and see whether hyundai SA can give discount anot

Thank you so much for your advice. but over here i saw some owner faced problems with their car ....fuel eater , windscreen, alarm also????

i like the interior of the car and the gadget.... drove it but short way so not too sure on the overall ... bout the engine, is this 6 speed thing make a big diff over the 4 speed they said last time??? really not good at car ...

I'm considering for a hybrid but not sure which is good btwee H & T .. some said go for T cos tech is good and FC very good... but some said  H is good cos the price is lower... but for my budget if i go for T (the bootroom of Prius C looks bad for me).... don know how to decide... need to have some expert advice
*
hi, im not a pro also but i think u hv to know what u want at the first place?
spacious? budget? FC? features? then only can choose a car which suit u most
for example, if ur budget is below RM100k, then plenty of cars. if below 90k then u may only hv these selection: forte elantra vios city pug207, the new preve etc
well, my personal opinion only tongue.gif

i wanted something with good fc and space also nice design and gadget is bonus...hahah sound greedy.... tongue.gif
u said the engine is no good for fc?? for this 6 speed engine??? or u talking bout the citra last time...??? really hope to get more real experience....

seems like prius will be ur choice due to good fc n big enuf
im not saying the forte FC no good but of coz hybrid will be having the best FC (i suppose la, nv drive a hybrid car b4) wat i read from forum, forte avr fc for city driving is about 10-12L/100KM

to me, i need a bigger car for my family. im not a salesperson n only drive to office everyday (about 20min). thus, 'normal fc' will be ok to me.
as a conclusion, forte is value for money, suit my requirement n within my budget

perhaps u can list down the cars u interested and rate them 1 to 5 1=worst and 5=best
for example,
FC:
hybrid - 5
vios - 4
city - 3
forte - 2
elantra - 1
then follow by space, design, gadget etc. after all these u juz sum up all the rating and u will know which car suit u most

Hi... actually I'm planning to get a used forte... maybe a 2010 one.. .I have a few question I hope u all can help
1. For the 2010 version, other than the changing from 4 speed to 6 speed, is there any other different for the feature and specification for sx version
2. How's the fuel consumption between 4 speed and 6 speed and the driving experience seriously get big different?
3. For the version of 2010, is there any major problem for the cars?
4. How long is the warranty for a forte? Most of the car is 3 years  or certain mileage,  if the mileage limit haven exceed, then will the warranty for 3 years still applicable for the new owner of the car as there is an ownership transfer happened to the car.
Alto of questions...  yet, thanks for the senior fortezen 1st

Lol

Tks so much ... I think most prob I'll be going for forte 1.6sx but jus worried that it'll have lots of prob (nvr own a Korean car b4). My fren who is a car sales personnel said that this 6 speed model shud be quite good in FC.
For the 5yrs warranty is it means that I must stick w their workshop for servicing or else warranty will be void??? Is their servicing charge expensive??
*
regarding the service charge, the table was posted b4 in the forum but i forgot which page. u can get the table from the SA also.

it stated *Net Selling Price Excluding Insurance, Road Tax & Registration

the nett selling price of 2.0 is 94275.80 and i think u can easily get 1.5k discount from any dealers or even naza

IMHO, the new HU shouldn't easily prone to any problems. i'm sure they will perform some destructive test before they decide to install it. If it's not proven, i'm sure they will stick with the standard HU to avoid any problems later on. It's up to u to decide..it's your money & your car anyway  smile.gif

Im thinking to go for 3M tint but afraid the built in gps cant receive signal after that coz heard some 3M users claim that cant use smartag after tinting.
Anyone can share the experience?

Actually, if you go for other models of 3M tinting, might as well go for cheaper alternatives which can support smart tag. Cos those other cheaper models are so-so only and not to mention pricey. If go for other cheaper brands, might yield better IRR and support smarttag.
*
well, i shall reconsider then biggrin.gif
guys, thanks for sharing ur experiences and opinion!

I cant suggest any brands actually..i suggest u to go the rim shop & look for yourself the available option. Again i must say..the choice is very limited for the 16" rims with 5 thuds. However, I ended up with an Advan Racing rims + Continental ContiMAX Contact MC5 tires. Rims price is about RM1350 if i'm not mistaken + tire price of about 420/piece..count it yourself bro  tongue.gif  Oh ya..i did traded in my original rims + tires @ RM1000

the warranty wont be voided? or just depends on the SC (depends on how guai lan of them)?

guys.. can i have some reviews from u guys on this car?
i am a new fans on this car.. and the thread is far too long for me read up all.. hehe.. i am considering this car as my first car.. is this car worth buying? thx in advanced..
*
I think if u wont sell ur car in short term (but i heard forte resale value already improved a lot) and you can accept the FC, it will be a very good choice bcoz forte comes with many features and the price is much more cheaper compare to other segment C cars.
anyhow, u should go for a test drive n judge by yourself.

just my 2cent

the FC whether high anot is quite individual la... to me, i can accept it mah smile.gif
when i buy this car, i did not compare the fc with civic and i think altis fc will be better.
i think the price difference included the interest can cover lotsa thg.
and dun forget those features. those safety features like ecs is very important to me and i like all other features eg blutooth, gps n so on.
so, i chose forte (after long waiting for elantra n the price disappointed me)

What colour will be good, white or titanium silver since the colour silver is out of stock at the moment. Any suggestion with all the master forte here happy.gif

i think
white = sexy & energy saving but wash frequently & very obvious if got scratch mark
titanium silver = dun need to wash frequently & scratch mark is not so obvious but more to normal look n use a bit more energy
