Wow, this is your review based on paper...anyhow, still need to test drive?
Yupp..the specs are taken from the so-called 'leaked brochure' posted in the several car blogs. Still need a test drive to get the real feel of the car..but if u wanna feel the new turbo engine power & torque, u can get some pictures of it by test driving the Exora Bold. The engine is quite impressive i must say though i can still feel the 'springy' nature of the CVT transmission during take-off. But the CVT is smooth nonetheless. However, i'm not sure whether the 7-speed pro-tronic CVT equipped in this new Proton P3-21A (which the Proton salesman said is not the same with the CVT in the Exora Bold) will performed even better or not. But with paddle shifters (which is not equipped in the Exora Bold), i believe this car drivability should be better than any other Proton cars for sure.

Hi, when you changed your rims to 16", was was the offset of the new rims? Our 17" offset is 50mm & I checked a few shops for 16" and they all have offset of 38~40mm. Any problems using a different offset?
For bros & sis who is driving EX with 16", can you please look at the spare tire & see what is the offset which is marked ET on the inner surface of the wheel spoke? Thanks a lot.
According to manual, if using 16" rims, the recommended tire size is 205/55 (17" rims uses 215/45) & rim width is 6.5 (17" rim width is 7). However, due to very limited choice of 16" rims with 5 studs @ 114.3 PCD, i ended up buying the lightest rims available with ET (offset) 42mm & width 7. Now my rims & tires look slightly 'terkeluar' from the fenders..not so obvious though.

Kudos to Proton for finally releasing a car that sounds pretty awesome, at least on paper.
Rear fog lamps - my Cera has them

but the downside is that during night time when you switch on the rear lamps, only the two outer lamps light up. The rear fog lamps are turned off by default, and they won't light up during braking. If you turn them on they appear much brighter than the regular lamps and the driver behind you might think you're braking all the time. I only use them during poor visibility such as heavy rain or fog.
ISOFIX - I think Cera has them too, can't really remember... but they are quite useless to me for now.
GPS - not sure how much they cost in M'sia, but over here a cheapo AUD150 unit normally works better than any factory-optioned GPS unit... which if ticked, will cost you more than buying an aftermarket unit from the shops.
autowipers - is it that hard to manually turn it on ? same with autoheadlamps which I'm not a fan of.
in-car Wifi - not quite sure how well it works, we'll have to wait till the car is released to see. Most people carry smart phones with data plans anyway hence it's not essential.
engine - niceeeee numbers, on paper at least. Let's hope the transmission is on par as well, unlike the pre-face lifted 4 speed 308T.
Hehe..u use Aussie specs Forte maa..it's slightly different here & there if compared to our Forte specs here in Malaysia. Tak aci lor..

& same with u, i'm also not a fan of autoheadlight & autowipers which i can easily turn it on manually anyway...
