QUOTE(h530251 @ Mar 29 2012, 08:48 PM) When I turn on the M8, I noticed that you have to manually turn on the GPS on the phone. When you power down the M8, you have to manually turn off the GPS on the phone. This is a hassle. It's a security feature. You don't want someone to automatically turn on the gps and track you remotely. By manually turning on the gps indicates that you really give permission for the software to get the location and do whatever the software is meant to do.Does anyone of you have this problem ? Is there any way to make it automatically like what X5 is working in windows mobile ? Anyway, you can leave it on all the time as it won't turn on the gps unless you open the gps Application. QUOTE(lestat48 @ Apr 12 2012, 08:22 PM) I installed it on my Galaxy SI. But my current location shown on the map is wrong? Off by few hundred meters. Anyone facing this? Try I move until the cursor starts moving to show your new location. I had the same issue with x5, it showed wrong initial location until I start moving. I also have purchased the latest m9, but I haven't tried it yet as I have no need to use gps at this moment. |

QUOTE(raclette @ Apr 13 2012, 08:12 AM) QUOTE QUOTE(smokey @ Jan 31 2012, 01:01 PM) what is the difference between m8/m9? y not tell them to add features like linking the phone contacts with the map, or search by coordinate? we need option to avoid toll/small/medium road... in my opinion, the user interface needs to be more friendly too.. anyone care to answer? anyway, for papago, among all the listed features above, they've added toll avoidance option and coordinate search only. If they want to be the best, they should have all the features that competitors have.. and more features on top of that.. |

you key in the authorization code inside their web, and then, you'll get the actual, numeric code.

QUOTE(pkchai @ Apr 14 2012, 10:07 AM) Hi, Go to setting. Scroll to the bottom and click "map version". There, you can select malaysia, thailand or indonesia map. Once you select the correct map, the demo word will be gone.I bought M9 for RM99 at PC Fair yesterday. Followed the instructions on the instruction sheet and DVD provided and obtained the 8-digit all numerical registration code, installed the app on my Acer Iconia Tab A500 and duly keyed in the registration code. All I get is the Demo mode and a map of Jakarta. I sent an email to support.m3gps.com and am still waiting for a reply. Will let you guys know what happens next. The picture shows that M9 supports Android devices from Samsung, HTC, Sony-E, Asus, Acer, Huawei for Android OS 1.5 and above. |

Yup.. the coordinate input is nice, because you can enter in 3 different formats like below
-ddd° mm' ss.s" -ddd° mm.mmm' -ddd.dddddd° |

QUOTE(kazarboys @ Jan 30 2013, 05:07 PM) hi guys. i tried papago m9 on asus padfone2. weird thing is when i set location.then it will route the place but the current place it went upside down. example my current location is setapak and my destination is klcc. once set destination my current location it will point sumwhere in pahang. if the current location is incorrect, usually it is because the gps has not lock onto satellites (gps is not ready). You need to wait until the gps shows your correct location.Actually, I also don't like papago search function. It's terrible. I have to try an error whether the POI name should be in english, or in malay, or try all possible spelling varieties.. One example, i tried to find imigration at kajang, it took me a very long time, and it still didn't know what I'm looking.. I tried imigration, imigresen, etc.. Searching using google maps gave me an instant result! They must put some intelligence in the software and give POI results that CLOSELY MATCH the search keyword, not just the EXACT search keyword onlyt. Despite this weakness, I'm still using papago because of the maps only.. |
