That is a killer stretch near Tanjung Malim exit, I totalled my car there as it spun out for no apparent reason. Be careful when approaching this area from either side.

Need some serious advice. i am considering getting a bike as i would like to transfer my car number plate over. Rather than getting a kapcai I would like to but a proper big bike so that i can enjoy as well. I do not have a bike licence but I am an avid downhill mountain biker. I have seen some bikes and sat on top of some. I am not tall and I do have problems with tall bikes such as the KTM's, SuperMoto etc. i quite liked the factory lowered BMW 650GS but it does cost a lot. I have tried the E650N, Ducatti Monster 795 and Yamaha XJ6 and the specs of these bikes doesn't compare with the BMWhich have a lot of safety features and is known to be very friendly towards new riders. My question is, is it prudent to buty such an expensive bikw i.e BMW or just stick with the CKD bikes which only cost half. The other issues is a lot of people is advising me against buying a bike as it is deemed to be dangerous.

Problem, is there is not much of a choice for a tourer bike which satisfy my needs such as low seat height, safety features and bike friendly. Any suggestions?

Why do you want a tourer bike for? You thinking of going overland? Long distance trip? If not, any regular bike will do.

Ninja250 looks sporty. Or since you're a MTB rider, i think a KTM200 will make you feel just nice. If you want something big but still seats low, the YAMAHA XJ6 is the perfect one. If you insist on a (light) tourer, a versys with lowering kits might be just nice, but you have to try it yourself.

Last but not least, please list down the safety features that you're looking for.

The BMW has ABS which comes as standard. I am not particularly excited about tourer it is just that the factory lowered BMW is only 750mm seat height.
