I agree, but not that er6 is any better, truth be told. Both are more or less the same bike. Rider skill plays more important part in cornering too. I've seen supersports getting tarpau-ed by rider of scooter and sport tourers all the way from gohtong guardhouse to coffee bean.
In the end you have to see the purpose of getting the bike, other than budget. I wanted an er6f too... I both wanted to play corners and go riding trips with wife. in the end plenty of riders i know advised me to get a versys instead. Even for ppl who rode supersports too bought a versys as 2nd bike, and when riding uphill, they are not any slower than supersports either. They had the balls and skills for it.
So far i have not regretted it. Sure there are some things lacking, but it can be improved too. When i climbed onto an er6 recently, i am glad that i chose versys instead of er6. The feeling is totally different.

im vice versa.i rode many entry lvl bike but i glad i took er6. sure sometime i exchange bike with my fren who use versys but still i love er6.
upgrading to 1000sx or harley xr or multistrada.not determined yet
actually versys is a good bike for it price. I agreed on taking the twisties, its all about skill and guts. you can knee down versys easily. try search vid in youtube.
