Want to find out is it normal for "Android OS" to use up 30-40% of battery even though I leave the phone idle most of the time?
The thing is, at this high usage, my phone can standby for about 2.5 days with only some calls and sms. 1.5 to 2 days with moderate web browsing.
I have updated the firmware to 2.3.6 through OTA.

there r quite a lot of running services...
guess might need to remove some of the apps.

Just notice the banding problem is quite annoying. The test video is in bad quality, the calculator has the issue and now i notice it's even with the dynamic background in Gallery. If you have 3 columns of listing, you can scroll left or right until the Gallery background turns black/dark. Then you will notice the banding issue. Same goes to lock green, if you are using the default lock screen picture (the one with a book and antique fountain pen), you will notice the pen feather and the leather cover above the pen has the colour bending issue. Can this really be consider manufacturing defect?

it looks like ur using a non ori samsung flip cover with a full back cover?
that way the case doesn't seem to b able to protect the phone well.
was looking for otterbox.. but none so far.
