Samsung Norway: Android 4.0 will hit Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note before end of Q1

Some Samsung-owning Norwegians are about to be very happy. A post today on Samsung Norway’s Facebook page revealed that the update to Android 4.0 should be hitting the Samsung Galaxy S II and Samsung Galaxy note by the end of the first quarter of 2012. Before we get too excited, Samsung still has plenty of time before they hit that deadline. We are just entering February, after all. While there may still be a few months of waiting, Norwegians should be among the first to receive an update to Ice Cream Sandwich. With any luck it won’t be long after that the rest of the world gets a taste.

Two leaks point to the possibility of a new Samsung tablet with stylus debuting this month at Mobile World Congress in Spain.

t's so hard to keep secrets on the Internet--just ask Samsung, which has been having a hard time keeping the (allegedly) upcoming Galaxy Note 10.1 under wraps today.

This morning, The Verge first noticed that an invite to a Samsung developer event at this month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona mentioned that the "Galaxy Note 10.1" will be exhibited in Spain this month, along with the "S Pen SDK." That's the development kit for the stylus that also accompanies the original Galaxy Note (a smartphone with a 5.3-inch screen that goes on sale for AT&T Sunday) .

But couldn't some poor soul within Samsung simply have typed Galaxy Note on the invitation where they meant to say Galaxy Tab? Sure, I'm all for Occam's Razor and the notion that the least complicated explanation is the most likely to be true in the absence of more convincing evidence.

However--cue the additional evidence--a casting call for a "Samsung Galaxy Commercial" also surfaced. Here's the first bit of it that I was able to pull up from the Google cache of the page, which has since disappeared from the live version of casting site Backstage.com...

i use tubemate... can download video clip from youtube.. whichever resolution available...
most of the time i let the video download in background, and i continue to facebook/browsing.. after finish download only watch it..

not yet experience this situation.. u save it on int mem or ext mem?

restarted and investigated a bit more...

it seems the screenshot is reflected in the gallery (the count goes up) but the thumbnail image is incorrect.

additional information... previously i had like 100+ files in this folder but i had deleted them all this morning. left only about 2-3 files... but the thumbnails are showing files that was already deleted (hence my earlier assumption that it was not detecting the new files).

so, my actual problem is... the thumbnails in gallery is not correct.

i have tried clearing the cache in gallery, but still the same. i have restarted my phone just before testing this out... so, any other cache or stuffs that i can clear?!? weird...

i mentioned so-called coz i was still testing it out.

seems like it didn't fix my problem. i did another screenshot+edit... then checked gallery. the thumbnail for the new edited screenshot is an old one. when i click on the thumbnail, the correct screenshot appears though.

so, not a permanent fix... back to google.

update1: funny thing is that gallery updates the photos i take from the camera just fine... only the screen capture thumbnails dun come out correctly...

hmmm... seems like the refresh works again for whatever reason...

so, fixed... i guess.

just to repeat, basically delete the directory: /Android/data/com.cooliris.media directory

Lets talk about the location pointer. Its not really accurate in every locations.. I don't have any idea why this thing happened.
