If you cannot understand the meaning or the procedure then it's better for you to stay unrooted and use stock roms. The phone is already good enough to be used without any tinkering or rooting. You can always use 3rd party launcher to customise your phone with tons of theme that you can ply with.

After reading Dr.Ketan's guide,I roughly knows wat needs to be done..but since u mentioned that the phone is good enough even without rooting, then most probably I'll just leave it unrooted ^^

Good for you.!!  :-)
You can customise your phone with various theme even without rooting. Explore your phone first and enjoy the experience. Once you're fimiliar with all the settings, all the apps and its function then it's much easier for you to understand about tweaking and rooting.
Good luck.

Ahh...I always though it's good to root the phone to gain more access and have more free applications XD

Gain access to the phone system..yes.
But have more free applications..NO. There's BIG different between rooting and jailbreaking. Rooting won't get you any free apps as per jailbreaking on the fruit phone. :-P
*
Ohhhhh!!I always though that root = jailbreak.Learnt something new today! laugh.gif So jailbreaking is illegal but it gives u more free application?

yeah, rooting not the same term as jailbreaking. root your phone is to gain access to your phone system files/folder. an unroot phone still able to get free apps from internet and install just like normal but ensure 'Unknown Sources' is turned on...  brows.gif
*
Then y root and not jailbreak?? rclxub.gif

Edit:Oh..I understand now based on wat waveweaver said ^^

Hi all, newbie here smile.gif

I got this case as my birthday present. Not sure about it's genuineness nor the price, but the quality is not bad. Now patiently waiting for the Zenus Masstige Black Folio (http://www.maker4u.com/zenus-galaxy-note-case-masstige-block-folio-series.html) and the Sandisk Mobile Ultra 16GB to reach my door step. Have bought a lot of accesorries for my baby note and still can't stop buying!  rclxm9.gif

Anyway, nice to meet you guys here.

i can't stand quirks like this...

anyway, googled a bit and it seems this can be considered a known issue... an example:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/andr...e780ecc3f&hl=en

i suspect very likely to happen if at one time, you do bulk delete, etc... which i was doing this morning.

the so-called fix...
did that and the thumbnails are back to normal... i think. smile.gif
*
So did it solve ur problem?Permanent fix?

At least an hour if skillfully done. Dont use phone for few hours till it is fully dried. Some users leave it a day unused
*
Ahh..I see..coz I am also not good at applying stuff like this so I prefer if he do it for me but sadly he's quite far from me..I'm in Penang and he's in KL ><
