If you cannot understand the meaning or the procedure then it's better for you to stay unrooted and use stock roms. The phone is already good enough to be used without any tinkering or rooting. You can always use 3rd party launcher to customise your phone with tons of theme that you can ply with.

You can customise your phone with various theme even without rooting. Explore your phone first and enjoy the experience. Once you're fimiliar with all the settings, all the apps and its function then it's much easier for you to understand about tweaking and rooting.

Gain access to the phone system..yes.
But have more free applications..NO. There's BIG different between rooting and jailbreaking. Rooting won't get you any free apps as per jailbreaking on the fruit phone. :-P

yeah, rooting not the same term as jailbreaking. root your phone is to gain access to your phone system files/folder. an unroot phone still able to get free apps from internet and install just like normal but ensure 'Unknown Sources' is turned on...

I got this case as my birthday present. Not sure about it's genuineness nor the price, but the quality is not bad. Now patiently waiting for the Zenus Masstige Black Folio (http://www.maker4u.com/zenus-galaxy-note-case-masstige-block-folio-series.html) and the Sandisk Mobile Ultra 16GB to reach my door step. can your SE export contact to a csv file or any other format?  if yes then you export it out in csv file>>copy to your computer>>import it into your google account in computer.

i sold my black note to some 1 last week...using htc now...suddenly so miss the note... the performance was just like a big ip4.... now looking for good bargain of white unit.

i suspect very likely to happen if at one time, you do bulk delete, etc... which i was doing this morning.

the so-called fix...
did that and the thumbnails are back to normal... i think.

2 hour applied xo skin on gnote screen.so far so good.huge different compare standard sp.
can see clear screen and the same time very2 minor fingerprint.end story..final my search
to find great & awesome screen protector
