have done a factory reset...still the same, so is a hardware problem...

Fallenangelz, how did you wipe/clean the port? what did you use?

how did you get the cloth into the small hole where the contact points are? must need some really tiny tools...

I just wanna know that after performing a full wipe from CWM Recovery as follow:

- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- advanced > wipe dalvik

Do I still have to go to the Mount and Storage menu and format /system before flashing a new custom rom?

SOD = screen of death? phone still running but cannot wake up?

This means the screen just goes off. No response at all when you tyry to switch on or pressing home button will not wake it up. Cannot even reboot into recovery mode
Only way is to take out battery and put it back on to switch it on again.

Correct - flash from recovery. I am now downloading it - the link is terribly slow

Change it to upload server - now showing completion within 55 mins versus 5 hours previously from rapidshare

No point flashing the Rocket ICS beta
The S Pen cannot function as it used to be ; only just as a normal stylus only. Cannot press down to take screenshot and no sketching capabilities

tried that as well but it only works for awhile.

Just curious, how do you get the notification icons at the top with a design like that? mine is different (gray and slightly different symbols), also mine doesn't have percentage in the battery indicator leh.

Fallenangelz : is it okay if we put our credit card or atm card inside it coz all card got chip right... no effects/problems?
