if overcharge, the clock will freeze. Any solution? i always reboot after this happen

Gingerbread 2.3.3
I had never root my phone before.
It is slow now.

My questions are:
1. Is it beneficial to Root and Update to ICS?
2. If it is, which one is the best version release and is there any guide?

I had not been active here since a year ago, can't keep up since very busy!

Do you use the 3G video calling feature? If yes, don't upgrade. ICS does not support it. Only Samsung firmware support 3G calling.

If no, then yes. Upgrade it. get AOKP Milestone 5, its stable enough for daily use.

When you say 3g video Calling does it includes using apps such as skype?

my sgs with ics333 1.1 ROM punya batt life drip after flashing semaphore 1.2.5s.. hmmm. will check further

No. 3G video call means native 3G video calling. Not Skype those apps

Yup, true, Thats why I saving money and buy S3, get ICS and video call, but samsung ICS not same
as CM9 or AOKP. still miss them too.. haish why they are no port for 3g native video call? Like windows mobile days?

You'll need to ask those developers for the reasons I still prefer Samsung's stock rom whenever possible. More functions and their roms are smooth nowadays, unlike those days during Eclair. Still remember the Eclair experience?

Who developer want to do that? I remember in WM time if I want 3g videocall in some custom rom, just install 3g dialer .cab file. Why in android develepor cannot port it from samsung ah?
Ha ha, of course still remember Eclair, I'm only use it for a week, then upgrade to froyo..then use Darky for first custom Rom..
Stock samsung is nice, but home interface still got some really really minor lag even in S3 quadcore, if in CM9 super smooth..

I've played my friend's SIII yesterday, quite smooth I can say, maybe a little minor lag. OR just that I'm used to AOSP's faster scrolling animations. Stock Touchwiz animations on SIII seems to be slow, prefer fast animations

Yeah, cannot compare with AOSP, AOSP dont have lag, even I tried my father's HTC One X animation still got minor lags.

Sense is a bloat. Really.. Touchwiz is much slimmer
