I flash the Semaphore_ICS_0.8.1.zip using Odin3 first with Re-partition un-ticked?

Then I install ICSSGS Rc4.2?
Should I Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache partition and also Wipe Dalvik Cache?

i9000B is for Bell carrier, specifically for Brazil.  For installation method, refer to Flashing ICS on first post or the link by disasternero, it's the same

oh ya.. if u face any prob, u should read their wiki.. coz some prob got solution that been posted on their wiki..

Hi all..

I just bought international unit of Galaxy S with froyo. Later on i updated to the new GB ,when updating using odin, suddenly it stop and fail to update..i try go to recovery mode and download mode using the 3 button technique, it just wont revive back the phone and cant tun on the phone at all. i google the solution and the info wont help me so much on reviving my phone..

what should i do now? i even change to new batteries and still the phone cant turn on..

I found out that a lots of RAM about 100MB needed to run Shadowgun or Dead Space without FC or lag.

The more you install apps the more it takes on the RAM hence not much benefit if you have 2GB for apps storage.

Where if you have 1GB of RAM you can run everything by default and play all those HD games without lag.

Please correct me if I am wrong. 

Don't worry about how much RAM available, just flash ICS and have fun. Enjoying Modern Combat 3 HD multiplayer without any lag at all here.

Added on February 23, 2012, 2:04 amAND OMG! after I flashed to XXJVT with Semaphore Kernel, then I want to flash something that shows % battery, but is for XXJVU only, so i didnt care and flash it anyway, but after reboot it stuck on the Samsung Galaxy words there at boot screen and then blink blink blink, then I hold 3 combo button to go to CWM, and try reboot, but still cant work, so i wipe cache and partition and plan to flash ICS hacksung which is inside my SD card, but then when I try to choose the file, it says no SD CARD is found! wtf?! so I select Reboot to Download Mode in CWM, then try flash XXJVT again, everything goes smoothly until in Odin, the progress bar is not running when I try to flash it!!!!! so I am very panic, so I just click X on Odin, then unplug phone and turn it off, then when I try to turn it on, it shows a logo of something like a phone connected to the computer, then in the middle got X, something like that, I WAS TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!! I was so panic, but then I try to go into download mode again, and try reflashing XXJVT, luckily this time it works!! OMG! I am so so scare, just sharing my experience, luckily my phone survived from bricked or etc

there u go.. correct.. like what RisK.yO said, press the "Mount R/W" to make the system Read-Write mode..
and just paste the original file at the same folder or any other folder that u want

for now, didn't feel like want jump to another ROM..
still satisfied and happy with ICSSGS.. ya la.. good battery life.. smooth.. even everyday use live wallpaper also no more worry.. b4 this, haiz.. want to use live wallpaper la kan, think twice leh.. afraid of lag lah.. battery drain la..
but now.. this is what we call 100% enjoy with our "expensive" phone..

may i know what apps u guys use?
bcoz i'm using Root Explorer, when press+hold on file, there got an option "Open in Text Editor"
so.. i edit from there la

the other way maybe u guys can do like this..
copy the file to ur SD, then connect ur phone to pc, copy the file into ur pc, and edit using pc

i think i got problem with my gps.. i just realize that my lovely sgs manufactured on 2.6.2010 according to the batery.. i installed papago x5 on my sister hp.. she used SE Arc S.. when open papago, it just take 1 minute to lock.. compared to my sgs,it really make me sad..

any sifu can help how to solve my gps's prob?

i already do it and the gps can lock although it take times.. but,when it lock,the papago become lag.. sometimes it stop then search back.. it make me lost cause take wrong way.. huhu...

another question is i tried to play video on my sgs.. on GB,it works well.. but,on ICS, the video cannot be played..  i try so many video players, vlc,mx video player..it said unsopported android version..
