Hi people, recently i have seen many irrelevant/redundant threads popped up in this section of the forum. Examples as below:

Totally irrelevant:
PSP casing mod + led + speaker
changing laptop spec

Redundant threads, could have been posted in "Casing Recommendations thread":
need suggestion on casing
CM Haf 932 or haf x?
WTA opinion
[WTA] Where can get Asus Casing
aerocool xpredator vs cm storm trooper

These are just some of the examples. There are many others which will be too time consuming for me to list them down.

Anyway, i have also realized that the main moderator for this section, ianho, has not been logging in since 28th November last year.

Thus, I strongly suggest for the election/appointment of a new moderator to lead and cleanup this section.

P/S: I don't have any intention of being a moderator as i don't have time. Thus, this thread doesn't serve the purpose of self promotion. It is for the benefits of all forummers. Thanks.

it is better having as many threads as possible because this forum section is dying anyways.

Then why dun we merge this section with Kopitiam instead?

I rather see this section having little but informative threads than to see it being filled up with rubbish

I agree with TS. its not just happen here, but in most section. pinned topic are ignored and there are so many irrelevent topic and redundant topic in this section. it is not clean as old days.

IMO, all these happened due to lack of active moderation. Therefore, a new moderator is needed urgently, to prevent this section from becoming Kopitiam the 2nd.

This section is slowly dying and is 'nobody' child.

on many days already Pregnancy & Parenting have more active user than Casing & Mod section.

Many a times, casing issues are readily discuss in Hardware Q&A section and not move to here.

In that case I recommend the merger of this section with the hardware section.

seriously, this place is dying, better a mess than having a graveyard of a forum.

If messy is better, then why do we have moderators in this forum? And why do we even divide the forum into so many sections? Why not just jumble up everything?

Isn't Lacus moderator for some other section as well? Can he really cope with so many sections?

Back in those days when ianho was still active, all the irrelevant and redundant threads would not have survived for more than a day.
