Yes changing it will solve the problem.

The core of the problem is a lot of wall sockets nowadays have their conductors not made of pure copper, it is usually impure copper. When you use electrical devices like toaster and boiler that draws a high amount of current, it will heat up the conductor and melt the plastic casing. And once the casing melts the contacts might have become loose so no more power when you plug in that socket.

You also need to polish out the darken copper cables so it conduct better.

It also happen when copper cable was not screw tight enough, it produce arc.

Yes loose connections produces extra heat too. But lately I find a lot of these China made sockets melting easily, my conclusion is they are made of inferior copper because pure one is expensive and Chinaman damn good at cutting corners.

The problem is, even if you are willing to pay, you can't find quality product. Same with water tap.

Now aday not difficult to get good quality product. We have net to search and learn. Can't find local, get it from net and ship over. Not like last time where you don't have choice but local only.

And sometime, price better than local.

I mean you can order anything from the web as long as you like. Doesn't matter it is socket or a tap. We have more choice now.

If you from klang valley, it is not difficult to find a quality product. If you from kampung and have a hard time to find locally, than get a web order.

Gang, I am not agreed with you. If you willing to pay, what make you feel you can't find quality product? is where to find and the shop know how to introduce you or not. Some seller just sell you palia product but say that is quality. maybe need to research before buy
