QUOTE(MYstombox @ Feb 3 2012, 09:53 AM) Not always required to calibrate the gyro. You can download sensor list to test that the gyro is working. It has 3 axis that you can use to gauge that the sensor is working right. Yes I know. But why do we have an option in the setting and the ball is not moving? Is it moving on those with stock rom? Can someone confirm this? Just curious.

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Feb 3 2012, 09:57 AM) ? How to calibrate? Sorry, lol, never did it before. I can test for you, on stock rom with speedmod kernel. Settings > Display > Gyro Sensor Calibration.

QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Feb 3 2012, 09:51 AM) I tried CF root b4, got a slight lag when scrolling between homepages, neak is silky smooth. Even in go launcher vertical 4d scrolling is silky smooth, no lag, which convince me to stick with NEAK This is have to agree. For me none, is as smooth as siyah 2.6.11 with my tweaked ondemand. Just that stupid wakelock really piss me off.

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Feb 3 2012, 10:07 AM) Do you know what's a gyro sensor for? If it maintains in the center, it means its calibrated correctly. If it moves, it means the gyro isn't correct. The gyro should maintain position at center no matter where the phone is tilted. That's the function of a gyro. If it moves, and if you want it to move, you should be looking at an accelerometer, gravity sensor or tilt sensor. Not a gyro. So if the ball does not move at all then is working and if there is any movement it is not working fine? Then why must we calibrate on flat surface when its not moving no matter what the position of the phone. Just trying to understand.

QUOTE(snigapoe @ Feb 3 2012, 10:19 AM) what tweak did you done? can sifu teach teach ar? Change hotplug, gpu, scaling, governor parameters, etc. Almost everything can be tweaked with siyah. Take a look at thunderbolt bolt_siyah script and screenstate scaling script. its basically those.

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Feb 3 2012, 10:23 AM) It's for reference orientation, thats why calibrate on flat surface. Whether its horizontal or tilted i don't think it matters. What matters is that the surface is flat so the phone doens't wobble when its calibrating. Anyway, it's an orientation tool. If you're concerned with the sensor working or not, a calibration tool isn't a testing tool. Added on February 3, 2012, 10:24 amNo, the thing is a 3axis gyro, it won't move if its working properly. I think i get what you mean. The ball need to always be in the middle. So if whenever we see the ball is off center then we need to calibrate it. And after we calibrate it, the ball should return back to the center. The ball is not suppose to move but to tell us the gyro is off the axis or not only. QUOTE(MYstombox @ Feb 3 2012, 10:31 AM) Yes that is right. Because it being 3 axis. Imagine the axis as follows From top to bottom of phone => 1 Left side to right side => 2 Screen to battery cover => 3 The 3 axis must maintain "always up" on the gyro for the ball to remain at 0 position. If one of the axis not working, the ball will move off center. Hope you understand, and don't worry so much la. Its not worry, its trying to understand and being curious. Normally you see a ball, its suppose to roll somewhere.

QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Feb 3 2012, 11:13 AM) You better backup your files. Afterwards all hilang. Normally for me it start by PC asking whether want to repair whenever i plug in my phone. Then after a while the phone will not be able to detect card but pc still can (with sd adapter). So have to copy out everything, format and copy back then all ok again.

I just cancel it.
