That is the proximity sensor, it is used when making phone calls, put your phone next to your ear, it will detect the presence of some object nearby hence turning off the screen, ensuring that you don't touch any dial pad buttons...

Actually, i was wondering why the internet app for the stock rom most of the time force close..
I have to press about 3 times in order to open the app..

Like you say the beats headphones compared to the cheap ones are almost the same...

First all all is yours G version..
If yours is G version, yes I agree it will hang at some point..
For example the level where there are soldiers in front of you and suddenly when you are busy shooting, it hangs..
If yours is non-G, that is weird, as I never ever experience one time of freeze before..

For the hotness issue, no doubt, CPU running dual core, sure got heat,

All you got to do, is plug in your headphones, and go to a quiet place, and take a simple hearing test, and the player will automatically set the sound equalizer based on your hearing capabilities....

Oh I thought I was the only one, there is an exit button, but when I press nothing happen..
I then press home button and killed the app using task manager..
