hellooo.. i want to ask something.

i have a 1TB 3.0 external hard drive (toshiba canvio) but the chip is broken somehow.. what I did is I took out the drive and thinking to replace the enclosure. However the price for 3.0 enclosure is RM95.

Then I'm planning to just put the drive into the laptop.. but I'm afraid it will act as normal hard disk.

So my question is, the 3.0 external hdd is just a normal 2.5 hdd? they just put 3.0 interface to make the transfer faster or what? is it worth to buy the 3.0 enclosure?
