QUOTE(everling @ May 4 2012, 12:32 PM) Because Samsung wasn't making enough profits from its HDD division so it decided to pull out of the market. I guess ppl were thinking "samsung? since when they make hard disk? better get WD/Seagate" -___-!Actually even I would have got a caviar blue last year if I didnt look thru benchmarks and also this LYN thread where everyone was recommending the legendary HD103SJ Added on May 5, 2012, 9:26 am QUOTE(coklatua @ May 4 2012, 09:46 AM) But this thick sound is quiet loud. hmm, at least still got warranty right? see what those seagate guys can doNope. My hdd is samsung SPF3. Seriously, dont know the reason why is dying. But I will send it to RMA. Added on May 5, 2012, 9:27 am QUOTE(boon.fong @ May 4 2012, 03:48 PM) Hi all, may I know what is the recommended HDD nowsaday since samsung hdd is out of business. I am looking for good performance HDD around 1 -- 2 TB. Just get a WD Caviar Blue. Should be able to satisfy you thanks in advance This post has been edited by arslow: May 5 2012, 09:27 AM |

Was so happy when I saw this but got put off when I read the 5900rpm part :/ but if it sells for below 600 here would be great. This post has been edited by arslow: Apr 4 2013, 02:27 PM |

QUOTE(mrbob @ Dec 9 2013, 02:47 PM) Should be coming in very soon. Retail price for model WD1001X06XDTL (120 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD) is reportedly RM 1,088. A lot of people are waiting to get their hands on this baby especially after SG Momentus XT is doing so well here (should read as always out of stock). wow, guess I wont be getting it then. Am just frustrated with the speed of my laptop HDD after being spoiled by the speed of my 335 on my PC. Maybe I'll just get a 240Gb SSD since all my stuff are on my NAS anyway nowadays. Just need a good wifi card, like the intel AC-7260.http://sccyberworld.blogspot.com/2013/11/w...dual-drive.html |
