Hey guys, if I want to get a new hard disk now, considering WD Blue 1TB and Seagate 7200.12 1TB, which will be a better choice ?
Been heard about many bad comment regarding on Seagate drive, but do they actually improve after acquire Samsung ? And disappointing on Seagate 1year warranty too.

i use seagate ST3500418AS (single platter drive) and running 2 years 7 months and several days. when i says running, it spinning with that amount of time. never fail me at all. with proper handling, screw it properly inside casing and proper air flow (maintain temperature around 33-38c) now i am using ST1000DM003, single platter but double size from previous drive bottom line, people having bad luck does not mean that you will fall in the same situation too

Yup, better buy a 3TB drive instead of 1TB. 1TB x 3 = 3TB RM279 x 3 = RM837 3TB single RM519 Anyways, for those not in the know, read this before you grab a 3TB drive: http://www.pcworld.com/article/235088/ever...ard_drives.html

But I would much prefer multiple drives for reliability if 1 of them fail = 1TB data gone, not 3TB
