Hey guys, I need some info concerning my purchase from HLJ.
This is my 1st ever online purchase so I'm a bit worried. So here's the deal:

I purchased a few kits from HLJ and they sent email that the package has been shipped on 28 Sep. It's been 3 weeks already without any news. No notification from customs. Nothing. The shipment is via SAL.
So, is this normal? How long does it usually takes for shipment from Japan to KL via SAL? Is the package sent directly to the address given or do they just send a notification to the address and I have to pick it up myself at the post office? If its by notification, and by any chance the notice failed to reach me, how do I go about contacting the post office?

Any help from experienced customer of HLJ or by any kind soul with experience is appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't think there are going to refund if we choose normal postage bcoz there's no way for them to track the item. Most item will end up at our "good" custom officer house  cry.gif

Some news, 2 of my parcels arrived yesterday since being shipped out on the 14th. Took almost 1 1/2 months. One of the boxes looked like it was steamrolled or something causing some damage to the items inside.

Lucky you.
75 days and counting and my shipment still haven't arrived. So is there anyone out there who never got their package (when using SAL unregistered)?
I've contacted HLJ but they can only process my problem after double the maximum delivery time (in SAL's case, double of 45 days @ 90 days), so we'll see what happens after that.

Hey sifus..

I'm planning to order Hobby Japan Feb Issue from Amiami to be shipped (SAL Reg. this time!) here. What are the chances that customs are going to open it and rip apart the pages (ecchi stuffs)?

Is it safer to ask a friend in Japan to ship it to me or both ways get ripped also?

Anybody here ever ordered magazines and arrived safely intact?

Ok, Just a little update.

I've contacted HLJ after 90 days. Got reply that says they'll investigate thru Post Japan and if after another month still haven't received, they'll reship or reimburse. So after 1 month, I've contacted them again, and I just got the reply today. and this is the msg:

CODE
We're very sorry that your order (invoice ########) was lost in the mail. Some of the items are out of stock, and we are unfortunately unable to reship this order.

On Sept. 22, we received your credit card payment for #### yen. We will refund this amount to the same credit card account. Due to the nature of international credit card transactions, it may be 3 to 6 weeks before the refund shows up in your account.

Okay, good enough, I guess. rclxms.gif

But just another thing I'm wondering is, and if anyone can help me, since I am a noob at using credit card also, what do they mean by refunding to the same credit card account? Does it mean that when they refund, it is the same as they are paying my outstanding balance? What happens when I have no outstanding balance? (I realize that this may be out of topic so if somebody can reply me thru PM is also appreciated.)

Hi guys,

I'm wondering, Is it possible for me to order from Tamashii Web (for the limited stuffs) and pay using my credit card (foreign cc to them) to be sent to a friend's house in Japan?

Thanks.
