Hi,
Just share my experience for reference.

I have purchased items from AmiAmi, HLJ and HobbySearh for quite a few times.

AmiAmi always have the cheaper price compare to 2 others, but they dont keep many stock for released items, you usually need to backorder and wait for few weeks. But for preorder items, AmiAmi is good place to shop, they r cheaper and do offer the SAL registered option which is cheaper to EMS.

HLJ recently update their system. i like their private warehouse, where you can manage your packing size for each shipment, especially you are a regularly buyer and you want to keep your shipment total items below RM500 (to avoid tax). while AmiAmi can only combined shipment based on month, let say you preorder 1 item and backorder 1 item. if these item in stock in different month, you are not able to combined shipment but have to ship them separately. HLJ items is slightly more expensive, but they do keep stock for items, so you dont have to wait too long. HLJ do not ship with SAL registered, they only provide unregistered SAL. unregistered shipment is a big no no, because there is high chance you items get MIA. But you can ship with EMS, slightly exp (~20% more) than SAL can reach MY in just 3-4 days. HLJ do have more hobby supplies choices compare to Amiami. They also provide est shipping cost before you confirm order, which is What I like most, and most of the time, you pay lesser than the actual shipping cost. HLJ do not have redemption point to collect.

HobbySearch, I only buy from them 1 or twice, coz they have the most expensive price, unless there is sales promotion or rare items, else will not shop here. I like their items listing, the have more and larger items pictures to view compare to the rest or the 2 sites. They have point to collect, same as amiami.

So Far I never get taxed by Kastam. Try to keep your items smaller and no more than Rm500 (i did order once more than 600, but no taxed), it is usually by chance.
