Got something to tell you guys. Important to know it.
I was in Johor on 22.9.2007 to pick up some Armored Core and Transformers stuff from this shop called, Gamebox in the Jusco, Tebrau City. Anyway, all I can say is that the staff in the shop, is not only bloody rude, bloody irresponsible, bloody "F.F.K." but also a bloody a---ole cheating f---er. Here's my story below..... On the 19.9.2007, I obtained information on this shop, Gamebox, from my cousin in Johor. He told me that the shop sells model kits and Transformers. So, I got the shops contact number from my cousin and called them to ask them personally on what are the stuff that they have. After spending about nearly 45 minutes on the phone call, I asked the owner to personally reserve some items for me. The items were:- 1. Armored Core Mirage C02-Uranus - RM118 2. Armored Core Mirage C05-Selena - RM138 3. Armored Core Crest CR-90U3 - RM118 4. Transformers Optimus Prime Leader Class - RM160 5. Transformers Megatron Leader Class - RM160 6. Transformers Jazz Final Battle Form - RM 55 Total - RM749 The owner told me that she will reserve these items for me, but there will be an extra RM20 for "reservation purposes". I asked her why and she said that this is their shop's policy to safe keep the products for their customers, because their priority is always towards 'walk-in' customers and this method is to ensure that the items that I reserve will not go to the other customers. So I said that it was fine and I asked my cousin to go to the shop and pay her the RM20 and then ask her to call me back once the transaction was done. My cousin went to the store on the 20.9.2007, paid the owner the money and she immediately called me back to inform me that she had received the RM20 and I reconfirmed with her on the items I was reserving and the total amount of the items. Then I informed her that I'll be going to her store on the 22.9.2007 to purchase the items and she said that it was okay. On the 21.9.2007, I called the store again to reconfirm the items I was reserving and the total, and she confirmed it. On the 22.9.2007, I drove down to Johor and went to her store at around 2.45PM with my cousin. As soon as we reached, I asked for my reserved items and I quickly noticed that something was wrong when she gave me a puzzled-look on her face. I was right when she told me that some of the items I had reserved have been sold (Transformers Optimus Prime Leader Class, Transformers Megatron Leader Class, Transformers Jazz Final Battle Form) to another customer. I asked her, 'how on earth can she do something like that' and do you wanna know what she replied? Her answer will not only anger you, but guarantee will make you feel like kicking her right in the face. She told me that she had sold the Transformers products to another customer because he was willing to pay higher. Then she added sarcastically, "Business is business!". I argued back on why she didn't call me first to see if I may increase the "bidding" for the items. Her excuse was because the customer was very demanding. So, I thought, forget about the transformers and just pick up the Armored Core model kits as I do not want to waste my bloody time and journey. As of now, the total should be RM374, right? Wrong! She told me that the total is RM517. I was shocked with the price increased and I demanded for an explanation on it. Her NEW EXCUSE was that she saw the "old price" for the Armored Core stuff. The mew price should be:- 1. Armored Core Mirage C02-Uranus - RM159 2. Armored Core Mirage C05-Selena - RM199 3. Armored Core Crest CR-90U3 - RM159 Of course I was pissed la!! Then, I told her to just return the RM20 to my cousin as I do not want to deal with a scam artist! Her reply was, "The RM20 is considered like a deposit and cannot be returned." I raised my fist almost punching her in the face and she backed off. Then I leaned over the counter, pressed on the cash register (I know how to operate one from my previous job), and took RM20 from it. Then she started shouting at me for being inconsiderate. Then I told her off that she was the f---ing inconsiderate b---h. I told her about the 45 minutes of my handphone bill wasted to call her in Johor, the tolls I have to pay to get to her shop, the petrol wasted on the journey and also the time I've spent. She kept quiet and I told her that I'll make sure her business go down the drain, and I stormed out from her store. That's what I am doing now. To inform all the LYN people to NOT go to this b---h's store as she is a manipulator, scam artist, inconsiderate baboon, irresponsible s--t face and a bloody selfish pig! How I wish I could post up any SMS or any conversation I have with her, but all my conversation with her was from handphone to land line. |

QUOTE(alanmacho @ Sep 24 2007, 12:26 PM) What a sad story bro. People like this cannot do business right. They only think about profit only. They don't know how to appreciate us, the collectors. Thanx for your support, bro. I already spread my experience to all my friends here in Selangor, Singapore and to my homies in my hometown in Penang. This is the shop that gives other toys/models/figurines stores around the world a bad name. I curse their store to close down!!! Boycott her shop, don't do any deal with this monster Added on September 25, 2007, 3:22 am QUOTE(erh_teo @ Sep 24 2007, 02:56 PM) dude.. where r u from? I'm from Penang, currently staying here in Selangor. It's just that 'Gamebox' has some of the models and toys I am looking for, that's why I went to the shop. I do a lot of scouting and comparison of toys and model kits before I buy them. It's not that I didn't want to buy it from Singapore. It is that the currency now is a little too high for my budget. if u can drive all the way to johor, aren't there better choices like in kl or s'pore? but then.. true oso.. ppl like wat u describe of gamebox won't survive in dat biz for long... I do buy a lot of toys/models/figurines and I do travel a lot. So, I didn't mind driving to Johor. Mana tahu meet with pieces of trash like this. For Penang side, I have complaint on Game Mate in Prangin Mall.
They are doing business in a very not honest way. Actually someone has already posted about this shop in other forum, I just managed to found that after getting cheated by the shop. So here, I would like to inform all LYN member in Penang not to go to this shop - Game Mate (Prangin Mall). And according to this shop owner, they still have branches in Taiping and KL. Boycott the shop!!! |

QUOTE(alanmacho @ Sep 25 2007, 07:38 PM) The price is damn expensive......I fell in this trap as I made pre-order from them last time (6 months ago when I first started gunpla). They are lying to me that they have large network and can find any rare item (as I was looking for old musha BB gundam which are rare nowadays) So, I made pre-order from them and this 6 months time frame, I never received any single call from them. And, in fact, I have visited the shop for don't know how many times to ask on the update, but everytime same answer telling me that only part of the stuff arrived, so they dont want to call me....... Until last week, I really can't stand this anymore, so I decided to take something (at least wont make me lose so much) and finish my deal with them...... But after 2 hours asking price for almost all the stuffs in the shop, everything seems to be so expensive. (I believe the boss know I want to finish deal with them and I have no choice as I have that deposit in their hand, the boss told me the deposit is going to expired which he doesnt tell me at very first) So, every stuff that I asked, he seems to like adding some value onto it and he still think I am a beginner for gunpla. A small gundam pvc figure, he wants to charge me with RM4x (which I saw that selling RM20 in some other shops) But I know that will be the last time I walked in the shop again, I decided to take whatever I can get (which wont cause so much loss). So, I try to target for cheap stuff like NG 1/144. I asked for NG 1/144 Buster and Saviour. The boss seems to know that that will be my last try, so he told me those items are quite rare nowadays (He still think I am a beginner on gunpla). I just dont care what he said as my RM50 deposit is still in his hand....... So, finally, he charged me RM29.90 for NG 1/144 Buster and RM26.90 for NG 1/144 Saviour. It just like the boss stab a knife into my heart when I pay for the balance........ Until today, I still very regret and angry when seeing that 2 boxes of NG 1/144 gundam....... Some more the quality is bad....... So, here, I would like to inform all LYN forumer and your relatives and friends as well, just boycott this shop as there are still more choices for model kits shop in Penang. Dont ever walk into the shop unless its has 70% stock clearance sales to end its business....... |

If this type of scam artist dish out a personal favor to me like say give me 99% discount on all the items in the store, over my dead body then I'll do business with this type of people. In fact, give me free also I won't accept it because my pride and my rights is far more important than some so called "nice gestures".I fell in this trap as I made pre-order from them last time (6 months ago when I first started gunpla). Anyone has any idea that how much will the custom charge us on the tax?
Is it percentage on our overall value or a lump sum of value? Thanks. |

Then the tax is defer on each kind of item (p.s. electronic stuff is expensive in tax). If I'm not mistaken, if the item price is beyond RM300 or if they think your box is to big or fat they will charge you. They will calculate how much you will need to pay them.Is it percentage on our overall value or a lump sum of value? You mean is based on the percantage of the item (e.g. 20% of the cost) or a lump sum of money (e.g. RM50)?Or they dun even have a fixed criteria to tax us? Fyi, my items are gundam model. |
