went and collected my parcel today.

It seems that they mistook 1113 yen as 1113 USD...that's why they stopped my parcel.
When i asked them, they said ' Aiya, ini sepatutnya tak kena tahan. Kalau convert cuma Rm40++. Sorry ya. You tahu la, new staff buat mistake.'

dumb move by dumb humans...=_=

If you buy locally, there won't be any tax. If overseas there is 10% sales tax + duty fees. biggrin.gif Depends on what items, it might be different.

Japan custom now prohibit any petroleum by product to be shipped by air, Japan custom will sent the item back to the sender. Unless your seller/supplier know how to "sneak" it to you.

As for local custom, worse scenario is kena tahan for tax, best scenario is reach your house.

20-30 bottles, high chance of kena tahan by local custom for taxation.

What I can called these customs officers are really f*** up!!! Years ago..when I go there to collect, you know, when i enter their premises, there should be a security check at the premise entrance. When I picked up and about to leave...they stop my vehicle and said.."Bang....boleh kasi RM5 minum??"......such a BEGGAR!!!! I work as audit senior and often audit forwarding company business...you know these custom officers at the Port really eat lots of .....you know la. My client had to every month provided a sum of ......... just to breed those chaps so that their customers cargo arrived won't be detained too long and ended up in the storage.

Is that registered mail or just normal air mail?

Usually for SAL registered from Amiami, it takes about 7 business days to arrive. smile.gif
