was just wondering, i received a miss call from customs (after googling the number 03- 87872704 it appeared as KL customs)

why would the customs call me? (i am expecting a parcel from amiami and on the tracking it says Arrived at inward OE/Receive item at OE. BUT the item costs only RM74)

They probably want you to open and check..... Anything other than tobacco and alcohol is tax free, if CIF is below RM500... fight for your rights...

^ the more I see it, the more I feared my current shipment gonna get stopped. Though they are not "toys" or figures, but it's costing close to RM600, excluding freight charges. *sweat*

necklace: amount + 10%
phone straps: (amount + 10%) + 5%
tabung wang: (amount + 10%) + 5%

I heard he said, "metal composition" might be cheaper or something woh. I also not sure. Anyhow, I think the taxable amount is on the items only, not inclusive of the freight? Unless he has divided the freight cost amongst the items and charge the tax on top of the final figure.

^ CIF = Item value + freight charges. Or it's called "landed cost" in another term.

No tax on RM500 and below is an agreeable amount, even the officer that attended to me at Kastam there agreed to it. I guess you have to refer to the taxation textbook in order to find out about it.

Should be available on major book stores.
