How come like there doesn't seem to be much love for the NEX-F3 wan?

Looks brilliant to me

I think the f3 will be a big hit for sony
*
if they release an f3 with hotshoe i think will be even bigger hit
the price of nex-7 is holding me and many back i believe,i just need a 5n or f3 with hotshoe,i hope the f5 will be exactly that
its stupid that sony implement that acc port, they hav to design some whole new stuff for it instead of leverage what they have ie the existing line of alpha flash gun, panasonic and olympus acc port idea is much better

F3 boh touch panel lo.
Naw... sony memang anti traditional hotshoes wan.. so don't count on that.

On the other hand... ur old archnemesis Canon rumored to be releasing a mirrorless soon.
*
yeah seen that rumors float around recently, but big chance they'll be using the same sensor format as g1x,which is closer to m43 than aps-c
if they really go that way sony and fuji still has the largest sensor, that makes them the big brother in mirrorless camera

True... but:

- Sony's more focused towards grabbing PnS convert hence their body/lens strategy.

*
i hope nex-7 change their perspective a bit,its a major hit everywhere

i wish they could release more lenses. only ONE new lenses announced this year and its a refreshed 18-200mm.

please Sony, give me fast wide angle zoom or sharp pancake lenses
*
actually not even a refresh, the new 18-200mm is a slightly watered down version of the original, losing its active image stabilization system for a lesser unit, suitable only for still

many Pencake lens are very cheap lenses with very simple optical design. You will get much distortion from it.
unless you buy those olympus 12 mm f2.0 which has very high quality optics & design.. thumbup.gif  but thats is for m43..
from your choices, I might get the 1st choice..NEX F3 + 50mm(if got 35mm prime is better) + ELV smile.gif
*
glad someone here actually know that we are sacrificing a lot for the form of pancake lens
usually we get lousy aperture spec, limited to shorter focal length, compromised optics performance, and higher price, there are exception but they cost even more

its just me or what i can't seems to find a good sample picture from nex users
in contrast when i look into OMD or even xz-1 it seems the site is flooded with good picture from all sorts of kind, landscape, streets, people, portrait, art
i hope is not indication of nex real world performance as i'm looking to invest into nex system

Superb  smile.gif

In indoor event I always shoot wide open. Because it gives really a lot of sharpness.
So far never regret buying it.  biggrin.gif

sharpness is default in ACR, I shoot raw however.
heavily processed ah.. just within the area of Camera raw and smoothing the face due to uneven lighting.
nothing to do with sharpness other than that.  biggrin.gif

oh ya my pic has quite a bit of noise, ISO 1600 push 1 stop or 0.5 like that.
*
don't get me wrong, they are nice, sharp and contrasty, this would make a killer print out, they have the "punch"
just that it can looks a bit artificial sometime

can you post some straight out of camera pic, preferably some shots with ppl in it?i'm keen to evaluate sony jpeg engine for myself,i place emphasis on skin tone rendition. looking to get 1 myself very soon

but f4.9 is at the most telephoto end what? with a bigger sensor u can push your ISO to compensate for that.
*
i'm bokeh freaks
i was hoping for a compact with even better dof control than xz-1(rx100 jz fraction better),otherwise if for iso performance alone,s100 should do the trick
i rather have optical amplification(big aperture) over electronic amplification(iso control)

good sensor let me raise shutter speed, thats all
good aperture let me raise shutter speed and increase dof control
