QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ May 21 2012, 09:04 AM) if they release an f3 with hotshoe i think will be even bigger hitthe price of nex-7 is holding me and many back i believe,i just need a 5n or f3 with hotshoe,i hope the f5 will be exactly that its stupid that sony implement that acc port, they hav to design some whole new stuff for it instead of leverage what they have ie the existing line of alpha flash gun, panasonic and olympus acc port idea is much better |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ May 22 2012, 11:20 AM) F3 boh touch panel lo. yeah seen that rumors float around recently, but big chance they'll be using the same sensor format as g1x,which is closer to m43 than aps-cNaw... sony memang anti traditional hotshoes wan.. so don't count on that. On the other hand... ur old archnemesis Canon rumored to be releasing a mirrorless soon. if they really go that way sony and fuji still has the largest sensor, that makes them the big brother in mirrorless camera |

QUOTE(toughnut @ May 22 2012, 07:39 PM) i wish they could release more lenses. only ONE new lenses announced this year and its a refreshed 18-200mm. actually not even a refresh, the new 18-200mm is a slightly watered down version of the original, losing its active image stabilization system for a lesser unit, suitable only for stillplease Sony, give me fast wide angle zoom or sharp pancake lenses |

QUOTE(anakrantau @ Jun 5 2012, 06:31 PM) many Pencake lens are very cheap lenses with very simple optical design. You will get much distortion from it. glad someone here actually know that we are sacrificing a lot for the form of pancake lensunless you buy those olympus 12 mm f2.0 which has very high quality optics & design.. from your choices, I might get the 1st choice..NEX F3 + 50mm(if got 35mm prime is better) + ELV usually we get lousy aperture spec, limited to shorter focal length, compromised optics performance, and higher price, there are exception but they cost even more |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jun 12 2012, 09:10 PM) Superb i see a lot of sharpness in your pics,is this straight out of camera of went through editing?they look heavily processedIn indoor event I always shoot wide open. Because it gives really a lot of sharpness. So far never regret buying it. ![]() AFA MY 2012 Inori Cosplay by YongJK, on Flickr ![]() AFA MY 2012 Akemi Homura Cosplay by YongJK, on Flickr ![]() Culure Japan Night Malaysia 2012 by YongJK, on Flickr |

QUOTE(168257061 @ Jun 13 2012, 01:08 AM) sharpness is default in ACR, I shoot raw however. don't get me wrong, they are nice, sharp and contrasty, this would make a killer print out, they have the "punch"heavily processed ah.. just within the area of Camera raw and smoothing the face due to uneven lighting. nothing to do with sharpness other than that. oh ya my pic has quite a bit of noise, ISO 1600 push 1 stop or 0.5 like that. just that it can looks a bit artificial sometime can you post some straight out of camera pic, preferably some shots with ppl in it?i'm keen to evaluate sony jpeg engine for myself,i place emphasis on skin tone rendition. looking to get 1 myself very soon |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 22 2012, 11:50 PM) but f4.9 is at the most telephoto end what? with a bigger sensor u can push your ISO to compensate for that. i'm bokeh freaksi was hoping for a compact with even better dof control than xz-1(rx100 jz fraction better),otherwise if for iso performance alone,s100 should do the trick i rather have optical amplification(big aperture) over electronic amplification(iso control) good sensor let me raise shutter speed, thats all good aperture let me raise shutter speed and increase dof control |
