Can anyone help me? My brother dropped my 18-105 lens and the mounting is broken. How much will nikon charge me to repair it?

Is it normal for that lens to give out rattling sound during focusing?

i think my lens has a problem inside it after the incident and sometimes the lens cannot focus.. the rattling sound keeps going on and no focusing is done.. i'll look forward to send to the nikon centre.. by the way, do i have to fill in all the details in my warranty card since its not yet expired before sending to them ?
