just got myself a Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens. now i need to get a UV filter for it. what brand would you guys recommend me and what what's the price i'll be looking at now? I am pretty new to camera still so dont know much about the pricing. any help would be much appreciated! thanks.

ps: what if i dont put the uv filter? what will happen? will the lens get damaged?

what's b+w? so normally people don't really put a uv filter on a 50mm lens?

wow, still stunning after 1 year with out filter. guess i can live with out filter for a while and i'll look around and see how much selling outside.

ive noticed my old nikon lens has got a small little tiny fungus at the very corner of the inside glass lens. it doesn't affect the picture because it's at the very corner of the inside lens and away from the sensor view. i plan to get it cleaned (before it start to spread) and serviced same time at nikon service center. how much this cost roughly? it's a 18-105 zoom lens. if ya know how much the range is let me know! thanks

normally i use 200iso on my d90 but never use l0.3, l0.7 and l1.0 before. what's the iso number for those 3 special numbers?
