QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jan 24 2012, 05:02 PM) Canon 5D X ? sounds nice if so, canon has been naming their product with X quite often the unfill warranty card tricks works even now right ? unlike canon its a bit hard to do.. http://www.katzeyeoptics.com/cat--Nikon-DS...-cat_nikon.htmlunless you really want the spilt focusing screen, if not changing it wouldn't help much imo wow a range finder in a dslr so cool!

Before Cny I got the 70-200 vrII! It's much longer than the sigma version and finding difficulty keeping it inside my bag lol!
Does the 70-200 have a soft lens cover??

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jan 28 2012, 01:13 PM) thanks guys for ur feedback how about, say, taking a photo of someone on stage, e.g. graduation ceremony, VIP speech... can the sp90 AF do a good job? macro is not a concern for me, just a bonus F2.8 is 2 stops slower than 1.4 and 1 1/3 stops from 1.8 If lighting is good then I guess it would be alright! Not to forget the af speed to capture moments too!

QUOTE(NecroPhilia @ Jan 29 2012, 02:00 AM) But i really needed a lens for stage performer zoom because i do shoot a lot this kind of photo I still think of getting 55-300 or 70-300 budget around 1k only.if get used one, worry also =[ Maybe you can top up another 1k and get a used sigma 70-200 2.8! Sold mine recently hehe and got the Nikon version.

QUOTE(Irbean @ Jan 29 2012, 07:20 PM) ive ask this question previously, and imo, its better to save few bucks to get VRII, no doubt at all. aiya didnt notice. hahaha image-wise plus minus the same, how bout focusing speed? The focussing is insanely fast for the vrII Added on January 29, 2012, 7:26 pmQUOTE(makaroni @ Jan 29 2012, 07:21 PM) thats the most im worry about coz my hand is not tough as steel, just thinking that i must use fast shutter speed to avoid blur image with 80-200, if i can i dont want to burn all my money to buy vr1/vr2 just for VR thing.. Hehe but the vr helps alot for wedding and concerts etc! You can shoot at 1/10th at 70mm where the lights are dim! This post has been edited by Calvin Seak: Jan 29 2012, 07:26 PM

QUOTE(seather @ Jan 29 2012, 07:27 PM) i don think 4.4k vs 6.9k is a few bucks.... for focus speed the new "re-released" AF-D version is still slower than the VR2 but not by much... if gonna shoot at low light @ 200mm... i guess VR2 is the obvious choice unless wanna carry a tripod around... 4 me personally, prefer the VR2... slowly saving up now Worth the wait and savings!

QUOTE(Irbean @ Jan 29 2012, 07:39 PM) haha a few bucks + a few bucks + a few bucks = bunch of few bucks = can get the VRII Haha very true! If you want to sve up a few maybe can scout for Nikon refurbished version! I got my 16-35 f4 for rm 3k which feels like a brand new lens just that warranty is only for 90 days -.- unlike canons refurbished lens whih has 1 year warranty

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jan 30 2012, 12:48 AM) do you use 3d tracking all the time ? i've tried the 3d tracking in d700, what I says its so-so, not that nice, but the upcoming in D4 one is awesome, and its smarter than the current generation one I actually use it for potrait.. Because I want the af point to focus the eyes of the subject and recompose it later on instead of pressing the 4 buttons(Im a very lazy person!) Best to use it if the color of the background of the subject is different! Added on January 30, 2012, 1:15 amQUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Jan 30 2012, 01:05 AM) 3d tracking is very good if your background is uniform with single color, it will auto track the moving object within the 51 af points. Agreed! but d7k is only 39 af points >.< This post has been edited by Calvin Seak: Jan 30 2012, 01:15 AM
