internal focus vs external focus

no much different in term of performance other than closer focus range for IF right?

that means petal hood cannot be used right?

according to nikon website, they say IF can get closer focus distance compare to non-IF

i dont know why, but people say petal hood only for wide angle and IF lens, if non-IF where front element will rotate while focus then need to use round hood

i think is because the hood will rotate, so the shorter petal might facing top and bottom, which might cause problem while going wider angle and sunlight on top of the lens might shine inside causing glare because the shorter petal facing upward?

guys, anyone knows any reputable shop in KL? so far i heard there is 1 shop in puduraya and pertama complex but not sure about the shop name..

Tarita is a big no-no, my friend was conned by buying a rm600 filter with nikon brand which is non - existent.

Been ages since the last time I used my 70200 and also with a MB-D10... shit this combo feels damn heavy. Too used to D700 + 85, D700 + 16-35 already >_<

Was just wondering if its normal to have the batt indication as full batt, and it just died after a few shots? I admit I didn't charge la, but there isn't any low batt indication one meh?

The ring cannot be that loose... its quite firm actually. My friend's 70200 very loose... and it will creep ._.

I'm disappointed with D4's high iso performance.
it's only slightly better than D3s in my eyes. Far from "one stop better" claimed by Nikon.

Look at 5dmk3 samples, really impressive.
tide has turned toward the other side perhaps.

agito.. the chick and your signature pic not really a good combo.. that's like a combo breaker..

if D4 is targetted at sporting pros, the most they will go is ISO3200 with a f/4 lens.
most of the time will be at ISO1600 or lower depending on condition with their f/2.8 lens.
so i would think for them the high ISO is already excellent at those settings.
what D4 offers them tho, is 10FPS at RAW with no noticeable loss in speed due to its 100 shot RAW buffer.
and, it can still AF with lenses f/8 and slower, meaning they can stick on a 2x TC in front of their 200-400 f/4, and get a 400-800 f/8 that can still AF...no current body right now is able to do this.

Still thinking, my choice is either D4. D800 or keep my D3x. Although the newer FX come with latest processor, I m still wondering, the focusing is it as fast as the previous FX? as someone told me the newer processor might not be as good as the old FX

I think RM400+ to RM500... no idea, why not go for 50mm 1.8G instead, with SWM and metal bayonet. Come with Lens hood and pouch bag, RM689 only. silent motor, fast focusing.
