My geologist friend said that dinosaur does exist in Malaysia. He worked for an O&G company and based on the sediments, there were traces of dino fossils(most are in the form of oil now) and most of it was when the sea level was so low. So maybe millions of years ago? Not sure. He was talking about the Borneo shores.

"Saintis ada melakukan ekspedisi di sana kira-kira lapan tahun lalu tetapi gagal menemui fosil kerana kawasannya sangat luas dan kekurangan petunjuk,'' katanya.

Not to mention, all the jungle cover at Taman Negara does not make it easy to spot dinosaur bones.

for sure they have to dig deep to find any fossil right?
then it would violate taman negara, against the law also
protected forest, but still got many foreigner go there cut down gaharu

All fossils probably turn to oil already........Ancient creatures die and rot on the ground then over time mud and sand cover it up and sink to the bottom..........That's how we get oil

yeah, thats probably what happened
i guess we're lucky if can find fossil tat is well preserved

Could you enlighten in what way specifically does the article have to do with your queries? Because your queries sounded like ordinary Kopitiam questions, without establishing any causal links to the article, or reflecting your scientific insights about the Potential of Dinosaur Fossils Discovery in Malaysia.
Your comment may well be true. But whether or not someone else cuts down the trees is irrelevant to whether or not dinosaur fossils can be discovered in Taman Negara Pahang. Unless you’re trying to reason that in order to find dinosaur fossils, trees must be cut down — then your comment is most likely a red herring.
How did you possibly concur with the almost over-generalized statement of “All [dinosaur] fossils probably turn to oil already [in Taman Negara Pahang]”, without suspending your judgment to consider the reasonable doubt?

Formation of crude oil occurs from hydrocarbon pyrolysis when massive fossilized organic materials, usually zooplankton and algae, are settled to sea or lake bottoms, mixing with sedimentary rock and undergo endothermic reactions at intense temperature and transformed under high pressure into oil.

Just imagine, if Petroleum Geologists have ever found oil reservoir in Taman Negara Pahang, then most probably PETRONAS and SHELL had commercialized the production fields there. However, this counterexample doesn't discount the possibility that dinosaurs once roamed the Taman Negara Pahang.

so, did adam n eve live amongst them?
