Didn't have C3 but just got my Nova N1. Pair with FAD Adagio II. Well I have nothing to compare as previously using iPhone as music player. Not yet try in details yet. I not yet update the firmware, for now this firmware does give me some problem. Build quality wise, overall I have no complain with it. metal finishing and light. The UI is easy to use. Hiss sound quite low too.

For the price, I think is good enough.

aww, that sucks. coz i used to own some old mp3 player that uses single AAA. I get to change the batteries whenever its low on the go without worry about recharging. Well looks like i have to jump in the current built-in battery wagon then.

i'm still trying to find a mp3 player with the following specs:
- Around ipod nano 7th gen size
- Supports flac
- Supports bluetooth
- Have FM radio
- Good sound quality
- Minimum 16gig storage

Had the Hippo Gumstick... starting to die...

I got RM200 on hands...

what player would be the best to replace the Gumstick other than Cube C30?

say... my requirements are
-able to play wav,flac and ape
-easy to read screen/interface
-expandable memory
-small or thin
-long lasting battery(not necessary)

I've seen Sansa Clip+ and Sansa Fuze... not sure if it's a wise choice to change there

Don't have a C3 for you to audition but I tried it before. So probably can share you some opinions.
C3 is a very clean sound DAP, details not bad and build in amp is a bit weak. The bigger problem would be the UI, it's a bit lag. At this price range, it's still quite decent for the SQ. And one more thing, it doesn't have line out so I don't encourage adding an amp to it. It will be double amping.

If you do like clean sound and your hand phone can support OTG, can up your budget a bit and consider Fiio E17. It's also more to DAC. To me, it's around the same range with fiio x3 but different sound signature.
