The sound of the ZX2 has more tonal density and more energy in the treble and just overall, bass on the ZX2 also packs more punch and weight.

AK240, being less tonally dense 'seems' to be more resolving and have more microdetail and separation. ZX2 has more macrodetail though.

Weird, why are some places selling the ZX-2 for RM3,499? Am I missing something or they dropped the price atm? And since you said the ZX-2 sounds better than AK240... I'll have to visit E1 ASAP.

how is mojo compared with onkyo dp-x1 and zx2?

in the picture? well, some of them that I managed to listen to isnt in the picture but its sorta like this:

AK380 >>> ZX2 > AK240 >> X7 (Slightly) > AK120.

Its not that I don't like David style products, aka giant slayers. I was kinda hoping that the FiiO could give the AKs a run for their money. But no. It certainly doesn't.

If it even is a fair comparison, I'd gladly try to help out. But a standalone component vs an all in one player? C'mon...

Anyway, just on record, Mojo is better than any DAP player I have tried, at any price.

Hi happy holidays. Were your sound impressions of the Onkyo based on the balanced out or the SE? Read that it only uses one DAC with SE.
