hi guys, can recommend me a bluetooth pmp to replace my old sony A828 unit? sound quality on par or better preferable.
size : 8gb or above is enuf, i don't travel much so only use heavily during traveltime
able to play lossless file like ape and flac if possible. my sony can't do that

Hi guys. Currently I have the Havi B3 Pro and 64 Audio V8 in-ear monitors as my daily IEMs. My budget can stretch to RM5,000 but preferably RM4,500. Oh, refer to #7 below.

The main question is whether if I actually need a portable amp WITH the portable player or not for the current IEMs I have. What I am currently aiming for is Fiio X5ii + Chord Mojo, with the IEMs mentioned above. Unless you guys know a standalone DAP that can diminish the need for a portable AMP, then fire away.

What I am looking for is
1) Of course, storage capacity (higher GBs : better, currently have 2 64GB MicroSD)
2) Smooth UI (Something that does not lag with total of 3k musics in it)
3) Good battery life, enough for travelling
4) Nothing enormous. As long as it doesn't get bigger than the portable stack mentioned above then I am happy    (because I might add a portable amp in the future)
5) Balanced OR Analytical sound signature, as my V8 screams BASS BASS BASS BASS. So nothing warm or bassy.
6) A volume knob/button that is not too sensitive to avoid accidentally destroying my ears!!!!
7) Last resort is the AK240 (fml)  (try to avoid this last option Hahaha)

I am planning to upgrade at the end of 2016 or hopefully mid 2016.  Thank you all in advance!

Actually I tried the combo of AKT1p balanced + AK380 + docking amp, still not powerful enough to drive headphone

Guys, what about the AK240? I left the AK240 there in the list is because I see it as an endgame DAP. To me, at least, since I am not planning to get any powerful headphones. Only into IEMs as of now. But will definitely look into the ZX2 and AK100II. And of course, thank you guys for the swift reply!

At that price I'd rather get endgame cans like the Audeze LCDX but that's just me.

AK, not to say it's not good, it's hard to justify their price tags. Their sig is neutral and transparent so detailheads love them. For me I love the UI, but would never buy them new.

HD598 is quite in a embarrassed situation, if with its retail price RM1xxx, I rather go for HD600 (which I have already)
But now pricing is so low that it can be considered a good buy.

Hello everybody. My 6 year old Ipod Touch is dying soon. The latest models punya price seem really steep (looking for 32 gb version).

Any other recommended MP3 players to recommend which can match the ipod touch? Was thinking of just getting a second Iphone 4/5. Preferably below RM500

Any dap below 1.5k that has 2x microsd? A friend asking me this is worried that even 1x256gb microsd support in recent daps is not enough.

fiio software still cacat though, across 3 gens of x5 i face problems

if you noticed in hf forum, streaming apps dont work correctly at times, and battery drain is still heavy regardless of wifi / bt on off

when i used it, the dap startup time is ridiculously slow, and there is no deep sleep instant on play like the 2nd gen

He doesnt use online streaming so no worries there. The X5 and X5ii only supports up to 128gb cards iinm? He wants to see if he can futureproof his dap abit with 2x256gb of storage. Maybe ill try to get him to up his budget for the x5iii instead.

Alot of recent budget daps seem to prefer implementing bluetooth support which doesnt cost that much extra i believe. Because if it does, i rather they put in a second msd slot instead of bluetooth. I guess size constraints are a problem as well since they are trying to target a wider audience with a smaller sleeker design as well as the mentioned bluetooth support.
