Hi, im not really asking about PORTABLE media players, but about media playing software.
What would be the best software for playing music on laptop? I'm currently using The KM Player. I'm also hooking it up to a Fiio E09 + E17 combo >>>> Shure 1440 |

QUOTE(noonies_naruto @ Oct 3 2013, 06:16 PM) thanks for the recommendation! kicks assss! wasapi will bypass the windows mixer (the windows 7 audio decoder), and will stream direct from your dac, the bad side is, when you are running WASAPI, everything else that makes sound gets muted, no more pop up sounds or youtube soundsbtw, i dont quite understand what does the WASAPI thing do? Other than that I love every single thing about the media player. thanks. |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Oct 4 2013, 04:39 PM) Nothing to do with the ID tags, but the font settings on rockbox itself. You'd need to choose a font which is unicode compatible.http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/UnicodeGuide I don't have my Clip+ anymore so I wouldn't be able to show you anything on this regard, but this is definitely possible. |

damm this dilemma is killing me, I have 3 options to go for, each of them I adore
1. DX50 2. Fiio X3 3. HiFiMan HM700 the X3 I can get a used set for RM400, the rest is retail, i really like the concept of a DAC on the x3, but then the other 2 rivals are sounding (supposedly) superior |

JRiver Media Center is extremely flexible all-around media player. Great application for both audio and home theatre enthusiast with range of quality, patented built-in plugins. And also very good customer support as bonus. Guess you get what you paid for. I recommend this software if you have extra moolah to burn (hardware is still the priority).
However I don't hear and don't believe there's audible sound quality difference between any music / media player. Jplay made such bold claim on their part but so far they haven't come with any substantial when asked to (on Hydrogenaudio). |
