dont get IBasso, their software are shiitty as hell, even dx90 software and UI is still unstable till now

Lol like that my best choice for only iPod touch 6gen 128gb play with apple lossless file

But at least no issue for iOS update n wifi connection..

2-3k should try Cayin N6 also.
UI not very user friendly but overall very stable. Supports DSD and can be used as USB DAC.
Build in amp is using 13 pieces opm, very powerful.


I have recorded a Youtube review of N5. There is some comparision between N5 and N6.

I love iOS and no regret of the thing won't outdated in future, cause no issue for update all the files

Damn nice for Apple lossless format, very cleaned and enhanced bass.

Why used apple? Cause the reason was iTunes free converted from MP3 to AAC format, the sounds sweet & as much detailed.

Depends on what you want. Headphones and IEMs are totally different, can't compare. Noramlly headphones more natural sound stage and IEM can provide more details (around the same price range). Better compare first before buying

and yes, X3ii can drive M50x quite well already. It also match well with a lot of IEM.

I am looking to get a portable music player. Must have:

1. At least 32GB space
2. Wifi
3. Bluetooth
4. Able to run Spotify and Podcast

Budget around RM1.5k.

So far that I have found is iPod. I rather not get Apple if I can help it.

Edit: will be using it only with Spotify and podcast offline files.

So far I'm very satisfied with my iPod touch, songs and detailed never disappointed me yet.

I have mojo, but very seldom use with mojo at all, from my iPod is really powerful enought to suit my tasted.

I should have been clearer. I don't own any iPod at the moment. I meant to say so far I found iPod to match all my criterial. Wondering any other player matches my criteria as well.

Just unlike iPod touch got wifi can play around with Safari browser and download many Apps as what you like.

try Onkyo's dp-x1 or Pioneer XDP-100R

also can look at Sony's DAPs

or you can wait for cayin's i5. but it might not support external apps like spotify. Cayin still not yet finalized on their policy on this.

There are others but they are way over ur budget, like fiio x7 and Acoustic Research M2

To keep within budget you can also consider Android phones with good DACs, like LG V10, Samsung Galaxy S4/5/6, Vivo X5 Max, Meizu MX4/5 Pro, Mi Note, or Nexus 5/6P.
