Hi,

I would like to know how to backup my battlefield 3 folder or game as maybe in the future I will format or buy a new hard disk and I do not want to reinstall and needed to download the 4GB patch only again through origin. Is there a way to preserve my game folder and transfer it next time?

Thanks

Easy, jz copy the whole folder into a external HDD. format ur comp or anything u wana do. Reinstall origin. Change the directory settings if u putting in a custom location. close origin(close completely). paste the game folder into ur location. when u reopen origin, it will say Ready to install. Jz click it wait a while and u're done. If u're wondering if this works, I reformated my comp last week and it worked for me smile.gif

can this work even if I am using the disc version?(not the digital version) meaning i just copy the 18.7 gb file i have now to external hard disk, reformat my comp, install origin, enter my username and password, then i shud see the game icon there rite?so i just need to initiate the download a litttle bit, stop it,and close origin rewrite the new installation folder with my backup and resart origin again and continue?

btw, does this mean that they wont ask for the key anymore once i have registered the key to my account?(by saying this meanig i dont need the disc or my key anymore as long as my username and password is with me))

plz help, gonna reformat soon and i misplaced the whole god damn thing!!!
