QUOTE(Sophiera @ Feb 1 2012, 02:54 PM) I pretty much modded my entire world with carious high res textures from wkyrim nexus, except water. My high res water glitches out at certain angles. they're always the top 100, so it should be easy to find. I even modded the npc's clothes for high res too. Same, Skyrim HD + Realistic <everything>. The only thing I wish was done better is the shadows, however. :/ iShadowMapResolution / fShadowDistance can only help so much.

Mods that I use. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Feb 1 2012, 03:44 PM) i cant use all the mods too, there was once it bugged quite badly till all the graphics distorted when i enter Honeyside in Riften. I removed Real blood (who needs realistic blood nyway), realistic leaves (this one can really cause a huge load). Currently using realistic human faces, FXAA injection, and realistic water (this one will lag when entering Markath - lots of waterfalls there), Enhanced Nightsky, 3D Map of Skyrim + Roads, and of course SKYUI (starting to hope for a better interface this one still has weaknesses). Got mine here (it's a mod pack): http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1350300 (removed some mods myself in C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data\textures) Great to have a PC as only a PC can use command console and MOD packs.. PS3 and XBox will have to wait the official patches to roll them out (if any) Oh this one. Are you using these settings as well? CODE iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=8192 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=8192 iBlurDeferredShadowMask=32 I ever tried this before, it made my Skyrim lag like heck. QUOTE(cracksys @ Feb 1 2012, 07:07 PM) lol. setting your shadow resolution to 8 meg? who told you that? the result of following blindly tweak guide. I know it's extreme, just tried for the heck of it. Nothing like seeing the framerate dropping to single-digits to confirm my own stupidity. At least I know now that I don't want a 8192x8192 shadow map. Really dislike the sight of super-blocky shadows, with them spazzing and flickering every now and then. Well, only reason I use mods is to make Skyrim feel more immersive (no pun intended). Default textures are quite low-res and I tend to notice these little things (that I nitpick on) while I'm playing.. so. Solve the problem by using mods, enjoy the game even more. QUOTE(Deadlocks @ Feb 2 2012, 08:16 AM) But my point here isn't here to discourage any form of tweaking, but rather get people to ACTUALLY INTERACT with the game, i.e. playing it, rather than to finding ways on how to make it nicer to play. Of which is why I have even made a quote by myself to gratify upon the spirit of playing a game: " Gaming projects an existentialism which are suppressed by the distractions and the decisions in reality. It is fantastical and fictatious in nature, but it allows a realization of one's true potential in making life choices, so that if it is practiced healthily, it will bring forth a veracity of an individual which is otherwise invisible in the real world, so that dreams can be finally be ephiphanized, revealed, and made." In the end, isn't it up to the individual to decide how one wants to obtain fulfillment and enjoyment from the game? Be it playing vanilla or playing it with mods (to further improve his/her personal experience while playing the actual game)? Also, nice quote you made there, it speaks the truth. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Apologies in advance if I have misunderstood what you said. QUOTE(yuhhaur @ Feb 11 2012, 10:21 AM) time to throw away your GTX295. HD7970 FTW! ** pray my GTX460 can withstand the HD pack ** Sure can lah. My rig which is slightly less powerful than yours can get ~40-50fps with unmodded skyrim + HD pack.
